  there are many different things that each of us deal with, but the biggest reasons most come here is for support in their own lives and in dealing with the jw's in their lives.

  so many are lurking or new here, so maybe they need to hear why some of you chose the path you chose.. for each of us, the decisions on how to leave the wt are our own.

  i fast-faded and don't look over my shoulder worrying about the elders trying to trap me because my wife doesn't spy for them.

  Thanks for the advice OTWO, the depression card - never thought of that one, might even start sobbing in the KH, that won't be hard to do when we start singing the dirges from the new songbook - god help us!!!!

  This has been a very interesting post for me. I really do have a lot to lose, all my friends, my family and most of my business contacts are witlesses. I know it's BS and have done for some time, so I am now living a lie. A whopping one at that!!

  I am on the body of Elders. I do assignments, but have no responsibilties other than teaching from the platform. I will be stepping down during the next CO's visit, using the "too much pressure with business and family, can't cope with congregational responsibilities as well" card.

  I go out on field service but spend my time doing "calls" (visiting my mates), or walking around the countryside by myself (I live in a rural territory). When the time comes I will attend at least 2 of the CO's FS arrangements but because the groups are large and I will get in late, I won't actually go out, just show my face, just get in my car and go somewhere interesting. I did this last time round and it went well. I have in the past helped some stay "in the truth" and my wife and I have brought 1 person in, my leaving will shake their world too.

  I need to start to build a life on the outside so that when I do leave there is something to go to. If I leave now I will enter a void and my life will crash around me. I am sure my wife will stay with me, but will not at this time follow me. She hates FS and Meetings but really believes that paradise is around the corner and wouldn't want tp dissapoint her family.

  partakers this year was 275. i don't know the partakers figure for last year.

  these results were in the u k august kingdom ministry.

  when i first faded from jws, i didn't know for sure whether it was the truth or not.

  being raised in it, it is not so easy to abandon the years of indoctrination.

  Friend said they're really emphasizing "Family Worship Evening" at the Convention - why did they get rid of the book study then?

  i just had a chat with a friend i haven't seen for a while.

  he knows we're inactive.

  he was trying to encourage us by relating what he heard at the convention, saying "the end is near" and then proceeded to tell me that what stood out the most was how many times the society emphasized "family worship" night at the convention.. it got me thinking, why did they get rid of the book study arrangement in private homes if they're so keen on forcing people to have family worship night?

  WuzLovesDubs I totally agree with your last sentence. Fear keeps the numbers up. I attended the book study tonight, talking about blood fractions, I would say 90% of the congo didn't have a clue why they could or couldn't accept a fraction. I left after the school, I was asked if I was alright I said that I had done a "wet fart" and had to go. Boy his face was a real picture
