  Meeting others????

  are you like me, afraid of meeting up with faders and ex-jws??

  i am afraid to be ratted out.

  the only person that i have ever personally spoke to is raypublisher, well on the phone ans skype.

  I remember my first meet with someone on here, we met in a country pub. Since then I have made many friends and met Ex-JW's across the world.

  What do Baptists believe?

  i'm thinking about going to church again because i'm really interested in god (today)!!.

  sometimes i'm so confused and feel like there is no god, other days i do and want to try and get to know him.. i guess i'm scared because of all the bs that went on in the kh.. there is a local baptist church near me that seems nice.

  We live in avillage in Hampshire where the local CofE church is still quite influential; Local primary school is CofE controlled, most kids including ours do the scout and guide thing and we get a monthly rag through door from the parish.

  I am a non believer but I have been to the church to support the kids school and scout / guide activities. They services are benign and the vicar is at times quite entertaining. But there is absolutely no coercion to do anything, I even wore my FSM T. Shirt there on one occasion.

  many times at the kh i heard the various brothers boasting how the kh had good numbers in attendance and the churches of christendom did not.. i 've just worked out why this is; you cannot leave.

  you either fade, get df'd or da yourself.

  talk about hobson's choice.. talk about me seeing the light!!!.

  ive enjoyed reading your story about going to a hall that had a need back in the 1960s.

  one thing ive wondered though, what it is like going to a tiny little congregation like that.

  Should I meet with the elders?

  so i posted my story somewhere on this board but long story short i have been expressing my doubts to my mom who is a jw.

  i have been fading since december 2013 and went to a sunday meeting for the first time maybe two weeks ago.

  i went only because i wanted to use the library that my hall has which had books published by the society from the early 1900's.
