here is what this "special topic" describes with deadly false propaganda.. "a person might ask why we would single out the witnesses in this matter.

as with other fundamentalist cults, the watchtower goes by the bible advice only when it comes to exposing crimes regarding children or anyone else, that there must be two or more witnesses to a crime.

since abuse and molestation are rarely seen by anyone other than the perpetrator and the victim (and the victim will rarely testify against himself), perhaps hundreds or thousands of cases have gone unpunished, and the perpetrator has not been brought to the police, and the congregation has not been told.

If you dis-believe the story that Englishman presented to you from the newspaper, why don't you verify it yourself? I'm sure it is public record in England somewhere about the guy, hisprison record, why he was there, etc.. etc.. etc..

And, since he is a loyal and faithful servant to Jehovah, he wouldn't lie, and take the 'wrap' for crime's he did not commit, nor would he lie to you, another faithful servant of Jehovah, if you were to ask him some questions (I'm sure that people in prison in England are allowed to receive/reply to mail, just like here in the US)..

So, bleep, before you start calling people liars, why don't you go and PROVE they are liars, and that the media, as run by SATAN's organization, is really lying about that case..

Oh, and one last thing Bleep, and REALLY think about this one (I know it will be hard):

The anger you are feeling and expressing on this board towards the people here is being caused by a phenomenom called cognative dissonance.. You cannot accept the facts as they are presented, because they are causing you great pain, and go against what you 'know to be true'.. We understand the pain that you are feeling right now, but don't let the fear stop you.. PROVE to yourself that this stuff that is being said on SilentLambs and in the media is really hogwash, and not the least bit true, because, guess what, that cognitive dissonance you are feeling will not go away until YOU take the step to prove to yourself (I mean really look and prove, not just try to convince yourself by words and lashing out at others) that what is being said is a lie..

And, if you do an honest search, I believe you will find that it is not a lie, but it is the truth, and the organization has been lying to you! And, unlike the watchtower, when you find that information, we will be here for you, for real love doesn't walk out on someone when they need the love and support most.!

does anyone own a watch dog, paticularly a doberman pinscher?

some on this board know i love animals and i lost my bingo cat last year.

i really loved him to death but i have to admit that when it came to giving affection...forget it.

It's Just: German Shepherds are great dogs but too much hair. My friend had one and it was huge (over 100 lbs.; obviously overweight). It was like trying to walk around a horse all the time. I have a small house. I'm even beginning to wonder if a Doberman would be too big for the house. I don't know. They seem to be slimmer than a GS and a little more graceful.

Yep, German Shepards do have PLENTY of hair! I'm not sure Doberman's are any smaller, though, but I gotta agree, Doberman's have a very graceful appearance to them!!

Good luck with whatever dog ya pick, I'm sure you'll give it a good home, and will be loved!!!!!

General Appearance

The first impression of a good German Shepherd Dog is that of a strong, agile, well muscled animal, alert and full of life. It is well balanced, with harmonious development of the forequarter and hindquarter. The dog is longer than tall, deep-bodied, and presents an outline of smooth curves rather than angles. It looks substantial and not spindly, giving the impression, both at rest and in motion, of muscular fitness and nimbleness without any look of clumsiness or soft living. The ideal dog is stamped with a look of quality and nobility--difficult to define, but unmistakable when present. Secondary sex characteristics are strongly marked, and every animal gives a definite impression of masculinity or femininity, according to its sex.

Size, Proportion, Substance

The desired height for males at the top of the highest point of the shoulder blade is 24 to 26 inches; and for bitches, 22 to 24 inches.
The German Shepherd Dog is longer than tall, with the most desirable proportion as 10 to 8. The length is measured from the point of the prosternum or breastbone to the rear edge of the pelvis, the ischial tuberosity. The desirable long proportion is not derived from a long back, but from overall length with relation to height, which is achieved by length of forequarter and length of withers and hindquarter, viewed from the side.

Hi Trotafox,

Have you considered German Shepards? I am a big fan of these dogs, although I currently do not have one, I've had them in the past..

German Shepards make great pets, and they are very loyal to the 'family' (I.E. You and your mother), and any intruder or otherwise better be 'on guard'.. If you want one that can be a 'guardian/protector', however, I would recommend (as I would with any dog that has a temperment that naturally lends itself to protector/guardian, as German Shepards, Doberman's and Pit Bulls do) to bring it to obeince classes, as a mistrained dog can be dangerous (as is the case with most pit bulls/dobermans that you've heard about in the news etc)...

But, German Shepards don't have the same 'rap' as the Pit Bull/Doberman's do, and I think you'll find that the dog will be more easily approachable by strangers than if you had a pit bull/Doberman.. German Shepards are seen alot as police dogs etc, so people are used to them, and know that if it is trained properly they are completely safe to be around, unlike the perception that this is not true with Dobermans/Pit Bulls, who many people think 'snap' all by themselves.. This, of course, is not really true, as it was that they weren't trained to 'channel' their aggresiveness properly, or were abused in some way, which is why they usually attack, but I've not heard one case yet that involved a German Shepard doing such.

Got Given A Witness Today.

there i was, enjoying a lovely warm morning in sunny winscombe in deepest somerset whilst working on a clients roof, when out of the corner of my eye i espied 3 ladies sauntering up the road at a leisurely 0.5mph.

aha, i thought, that looks like the pioneer crawl, there's dubs on the horizon!

i had my car parked in the customers driveway, so i thought to myself "why not take a break now, sit in the car and munch my blt, and see if they approach?".

" which contains several experiences of ones who gave up their old religion and despite much opposition became jehovah's witnesses.
