What would happen if the WTS admits to coverup
by obiwan ini was just thinking and wondering,what do you think would happen if the wts admitted to child molestation in the organization?how do you think they would spin it off,do you think they would try to find some other "biblical" explanation?with all the instances of the wts getting involved with "the world",such as investing in questionable companies,the u.n. scandal and so on do you think there would be that much outcry from the members around the world?i'm interested in everyone's thoughts on this,i personally feel that the more coverage the wts gets on child molestation the less they will be able to deny it and eventually they will have to admit to something.give me your thoughts and opinions on the subject.

Agreed, and just like before, they did nothing wrong.. Maybe a few brothers were over-zealous or something, but they would some how blame the R&F for the past mistakes, claim new light, and move on to the next victim (oops, I mean mis-application of scripture)...

You all seem to spout off big words and fantastic jargon to put on an intellect front. You are trying soooo hard to disprove Jehovah and his teachings that you miss the entire point. That is to worship him. He guides us through the society. The light does get brighter as Jehovah reveals things to us as he sees fit. Not us as mortal man.
I'm sorry, but I take offense to that statement.. I believe very strongly in Jehovah, and I certainly do nothing to disprove his existence or his teachings. I apply them every day of my life, and I am not a JW, never have been! Until someone can PROVE to me that Jehovah works through your organization I will probably never be one, either!!! And, thus far, no-one has proven to me that he works through your organization..
Your organization's actions have caused me to stumble, and question if indeed the organization is representing Jehovah god.. I find it hard to believe that Jehovah would use an organization that has predicted false dates for Armageddon, changed their doctrines back and forth for over 100 years, and to this date, NOT ONE JW has been able to tell me SPECIFICALLY what they believe in, and is a basic doctrine of theirs that is NOT going to ever change (I.E. absolute truth).. Can you give me an example of just one doctrine that the organization teaches that is an ABSOLUTE TRUTH!!! (I.E. If new light comes out on it from the organization at a later time, you'd be forced to DA yourself because they claimed that there is no further light needed for this specific doctrine?). In over 120+ years, almost 100 of those as being chosen by Jesus, has Jesus or Jehovah given you even 1 absolute truth that only you know, that no other organization on earth does not?
And before you say, you gotta just take it one step at a time, I ask you to look at the moonies.. They believe also that they have the only "truth" about god, and that you must obey their leader without question, and if you ever were to leave, you'd die, or some horrible thing would happen to you or your loved ones.. In fact, I believe the moonies even go as far as to say that you are responsible for the past 10 generations of your family... So, if you leave their organization, they make you feel guilty that you are responsible for the suffering of your past 10 generations of relatives!!! Now how's that for guilt? It's amazing how a group of people can use a form of indoctrination, and instill phobia's and use fear and guilt to make people do what they want them to do, all the while the people in the moonie's are completely unaware of the influence that the organiztion has upon them, and their lives, don't you agree?
Now, the JW's say similiar stuff; you must be unquestioning of your leaders, and if you leave you will die, and have no chance of being resurrected; your death is permanent... So, we all know that the moonies are a cult; I don't want to fall into the same trap with the witnesses.. So, can you explain to me how you are different than the moonies in that respect? The moonies also believe they are following the bible, and that only their leader (Moon) can interpret the bible correctly, and according to his interpretation, his way is the only way to 'truth'... So, help me with my concern.. How can you prove to me that you are NOT like the moonies, and instead or indeed the chosen organization of Jehovah and Chist?

I am no angel...I have admitted to that.....I am more like Jonah at the mi nute , resisting and I dont really know why. But believe it or not, apostates are encouraging me to go to meetings, what with all your garbage that you are spewing out.
The majority of apostates that I have met don't try to discourage you from doing anything.. They are very loving peope and allow others to have freedom of choice!!! If you choose to go back to the Kingdom hall, then I think the majority of apostates will wish you health, happiness and peace. Me, I'm just trying to find the truth.. And not one JW has yet been able to show me one shred of evidence that indeed they are god's sole chosen channel of communication here on Earth; however, I did do alot of reading (apostate and JW material), and I have alot of questions that the JW's seem very aggitated that I ask, when they cannot answer them.. I would think that someone in your organization should be able to answer such simple questions, as you would think Jehovah, since he wants all people to live and come to him, would furnish his people with enough information to answer my questions, and see that indeed Jehovah is behind your organization, instead of mere mortal fallable men!

Again, I couldn't agree more.. Satan has a good way of deceiving people, and making them believe they have the unwaivering truth in the process. He makes them haughty, pig-headed, and close-minded, not open to any opposing points of view, and scared of anything critical of him, because he knows he cannot match the bonds of love that true believers have.. He needs to use deception to get his recruits, slowly getting them to 'change' their attitude and conscience in such a manner as they don't even know what happened to them until they are full fledged servants of Satan.. That is the way cults do it, and that is precisely the way the moonies do it.. They do not tell you everything up front, saying that you need to be 'spoon fed' as a child at first, until you are 'spiritually strong enough' to understand the deeper meanings of things.. Again, how is this different from feeding the newer members of your religion 'milk' until they are able to eat 'solid food'?
Why wouldn't you take your chances with Jehovahs Organisation and put your faith in it , just like you all once did. I know I intend to build up a relationship with Him again.

I too lost my faith through ' BROTHERS'...elders who were no worse than the scum from the streets, how they shunned me when I wasnt even d'fd. One brother actually said that he was going to treat me as being d'fd , not because I was , but because he feels I should have been. Nice eh ?

You speak of Jehovah, and then you speak of the organization as if they were one and the same? I'm confused, do you believe in Jehovah, or in an organization run by fallable humans? Why would Jehovah need to use fallable humans who make mistakes to get his perfect word to you? Don't you think he would guide you directly with his holy spirit if you let him? After all, you are one of his children, and parents don't play favorites with their children.. They love all their children the same, so why would he pick just a handful of his children to be better than the rest (144,000 .vs. the 'great crowd')?
I could NOT agree more with this statement!!!! But I noticed you didn't say to worship an organization!!! You stated to worship HIM.. Can you have two masters? So, which do you choose, HIM or the organization?Worship him and he will reward you !

Uhhh, Praise the child, show him love, after all it was the child that was the victim!!!
Then they go on to say in some lands the legal system does not work (The only land I see that as a 100% truth in is WT land -- where the victim, if s/he cannot cough up 2 witnesses is the perpatrator of a false accusation, and treated as such!!!, while the molestor goes about his preaching work, door-to-door !!!)
And, of course, the cold hard truth of the matter is that you reap what you sow!!! Unless of course, there are NOT two witnesses to the crime, in which case the child accuser who is now scared beyond belief of acts of retalliation by the molester himself, suddenly becomes the 'bad one' and is told not to spread false witness!!! Heck, the kid is probably even marked for a time.. Such a re-assuring atmosphere to step forward and report abuse!!!!

New book pisses active Witnesses off!
by Intuit39 inmy sister just called me at work to let me know that her husband (until recently, unsympathetic to her doubts) is thoroughly confused and pissed off by the new 'worship' book!.
he has been comparing it with the 'united' book, has noted the obvious differences (3 missing chapters), and has begun examining it word for word...now he is raving looney about it.. to top it off, they were at bethel within the last few days, somehow ended up in brother larson's personal office, and were astonished to find a model spanish galleon replete with huge crosses, and a huge portrait of good ol' max towering over the watchtower itself.
she said her husband thought it looked like a propaganda poster for 'big brother'..... finally!

If they do, they will not announce it as they have not announced their U-Turns in the past. Instead, over time, all mention of it will be erased and tried to be forgotten until one day they will say "Blood? No we never stopped people taking that ... it's always been up to people's conscience"
Sad but true, I'm afraid.. But if they do stop the blood issue, that will be a good thing, no matter what happens, as I really hate to hear stories of people dying for this cult!

Please define "unrepentant sinner".. Is that the molestor or the victim you are talking about?
If the victim comes out and says that s/he was molested, but does NOT have 2 witnesses, and the accused molestor claims he is not guilty of such crime, is a thourough investigation performed? Or does the victim then become the 'unrepentant sinner' for supposidly making a flase witness against another Christian?
Please, sword, answer these questions for us!!!
If no investigation is performed, then how do you know who is actually telling the truth? If multiple people come forward stating that they were molested individually by an accused molestor, yet each time there was no witness (duh, like a molestor is gonna have a witness), but for round numbers, let's say, that there are 17 people to claim to have been molested, yet the molestor denies every instance, is there an investigation (real, not just we asked, and he said no) or are there now 17 people who are told not to make false witness against someone?
Please, sword, answer these questions for us!!!
If you have children in the congregation, and someone has been accused (by a witness child) of being molested by brother X, and brother X denies it, do YOU feel comfortable leaving your child with brother X without first knowing that indeed a real and fair investigation was done that exhonerated brother X from any wrong doing, other than his own word? For that matter, even if brother X is proven to have committed pedophilia, but repents, are you even told of his crime so you can protect your children appropriatly? After all, it is the WTBTS's repsonsiblity to protect the flock, and your responsibility to protect your children.. Do you consider allowing your child to mingle with a child molestor protecting that child to the best of your ability?
