  Should be very reveiling !!!!! If the story comes across like the 'write up' suggests, I'll bet those 60,000 JW's in Australia will be getting signifigantly colder receptions at the doors from now on...

  Hmmm well 2+2=4 and thats it. We might want it to be 3 but its not, it can only be 4. What we like and what we want doesnt make it 'correct'. Ok, im done playing devil's advocate......

  That is true, but then again, so is this true:

  1+3 = 4

  There is more than one way to reach the number 4..!!!

  Losing their best--Getting rid of good elders

  in january of this year, a prominent elder resigned because he was criticized for continuing to talk to an inactive couple, who had been very close friends.

  this couple are being gossiped about, as being apostates, although no action has been taken, and no announcement.

  he didn't like the scrutiny on himself and his wife, and thought they were wrong to talk to him about this issue, so he resigned.

  Elder LIES to Downey, California Reporter

  dungbeetle and brymichmom delivered a stuffed lamb to the downey, ca kingdom hall at 12116 woodruff avenue today.

  present were a reporter and a photographer from the downey patriot newspaper.

  while we were placing the lamb at the front door, an elder approached us and asked us why we were there.

  i have just added an audio tape on mental illness among jehovah's witnesses by jerry bergman.

  it is interesting to hear the reasons why jehovah's witnesses have a much higher rate of mental illness than the normal population.

  Interesting, Jehovah's people tend to be more 'mentally unstable' than those under Satan's control..

  Now there's a sure sign they are God's chosen people <NOT>!

  "Come join us, we have a statisically higher than normal rate of Mental illness.. That is a sure sign we are God's chosen people... Once we find a scripture we can mutalate to state that Jehovah's people would have higher rates of mental illness than those of Satan's masses, we'll prove it to you.. But for now, take our word for it (From Jehovah subject to new light of course), that is to be expected in the time of the end!!!"

  Ugh.. This is soooo sad...

  First off, I'd begin by telling her that any 'friend' of hers that tells her that she hates her because she made a mistake is no friend at all...

  I find it amazing and disgusting that when a JW needs a friend the most, that's exactly when the friends walk away!!!!! And they somehow call this LOVE!!!!

  The girl said she was sorry, that she made a mistake... Clearly, to say "I hate you" is passing judgement on someone, and she is already being treated as DF'd...

  Sorry, I find this sickening..

  Not ever having been a witness, I have no idea what to say to her, other than to try to comfort her, but I personally would think the best thing to do is point out to her gently how 'unloving' her 'friends' really are.. I'll bet her Mother isn't shunning her, or trying to make her feel even more guilty than she is already... Only her 'spiritual' brothers and sisters who go around stating that 'we are the only people who have true love amongst ourselves' are the ones that are in no way gonna show her any love whatsoever simply because she made a mistake..

  I am so outraged at this crock they call love that I want to scream!!!!
