  It's Been A While...

  king of the north... It changes?? never heard of that

  found this reference on a facebook lurk session, they were discussing that the king of the north is a changing identity.

  i have never heard that before.

  i always thought it was identified as russia and that the jw are just wrong.

  The WTS always covers themselves by saying that prophesy often times is not recognized as being fulfilled until AFTER IT HAPPENED. Therefore the WTS may not know the identify of the KotN until after Armageddon.

  Is there any hope for the uneducated Jw's?

  i was thinking of the ones who would say to me " i don't like to read/study" " i'm not really academinc".

  are these people doomed to blindly follow the gb forever, thinking that all the study has been done for them and they will just belive what they are told?.

  is it mainly the smart thinking people who leave?.

  Its a miracle to come to an accurate understanding. If you would have asked me if I would be a jw before I started reading their literature, I would have replied, "Hell No. Not that crazy religion". After I was active as a jw and if you have asked me if the WTS was ever wrong, I would have replied, "No, all non-jw are wrong!" Now I realize that the WTS is wrong in many areas.

  So why the difference in understanding at different periods of my life? God must have let me see things differently at different times.

  the ones where the witch doctor surcomes to his own spell that he put on the brothers, or when the 5 drs physicaly force the sister to have the blood transplant?

  The literature always puts a God is blessing the WTS spin on it. Never found that to happen in the cong I went to.

  a look around the kingdom hall could easily identify the theocratic pecking order.. .

  When I was an elder I had a medium sized book bag. I discarded it after being removed as an elder.

  Toward my final days attending the KH, I carried the family's literature by hand, no book bag, into and out of the KH. The elders repeatedly suggested that I get a book bag.

  a friend told me about an incident that had happened in a neighbouring congregation.

  she told me that a sister from the congregation needed to get back to work after a meeting but discovered that she was boxed in.

  The elder's response is so real. I remember a CO threatening an elder for having a m ustache. The elder did not remove it and the CO was assigned to a different circuit by the next visit.

  I am a horrible singer. Some jws would move to another spot instead of being in front of me and my off-tune singing.
