  I love this. Dr. Who is so interesting and more factual than what the WTS proclaims. After all, Dr. Who would get the definition of a generation right.

  yesterday i was at a supermarket and i walked right in the arms of a nice jw couple.. they are so nice, they could be our family friends, if we went to the congregation.. how it went: mr nice walked by and said "hello" and walked straight on, without looking to me.. his very nice wife smiled and looked surprised to see me, a look only a jw can have, looking to a poor fader like me.. she said "hello, how are you?

  Well at least they asked how you were. A jw friend of mine told me that he received a call. Now he has missed several meetings. The secretary called and did not ask how are you or missed you, but only asked for his field service report. He was upset over this request by the secretary. They can be very cold.

  Most of the time I did not feel ones were out to get me. But once in a while I thought my boss was against me because of being a jw. But in actually I found out years later that the ones out against me were really fellow jws and elders at that.

  Letting go of Highly Qualified Men

  i have been posting for a few months now and have read the life stories of tech49, confusedandalone, winston smith and other brothers who have held prominent positions in the organization who were dismissed not for any gross sins, but mainly for not keeping their child toeing the line.

  they have been "cast aside", nit picked to death, and made to feel unworthy for their years of dedicated service.

  even in my case, having my best friends treat me like the plague to jockey for position of recogntion.. is this what the organization is resorting to now?

  I know where an elder a year ago was removed because of disciplinary action being taken on his 2 sons. Today his sons are being used in the cong., but the former elder is a nobody. He was a good elder. How sad that he was removed, as well as many others.
