My really long introduction...
by Madge inokay, so i am new to the site, but i have been following ur threads for awhile now, and i am finding great comfort in them!
no, i am not a witness and i have never been, and never will be!
i did however, date a witness for about three years.. it was our typical 357th biweekly 'man hating' girls night out, and meeting mr. right was the last thing on my mind!

Neolithic Rock Art Near Cofty's House
by cofty inmrs cofty and i went for a walk yesterday to see some ancient rock art.
we went to two sites both within 20 minutes drive of our house.
the first one is about 60 minutes walk up a hill the other about 2 minutes walk from where you can park the car.

Thanks for sharing. I have always been interested in this. Sadly it is getting harder to find such because of ones damaging these sites if easily found.

The WTS writes "life experiences" articles about the fun and blessing of sacrificing the weekend for field service. Yet the real truth is the fun and blessing of not having to go in the field ministry.

Extremely sad situation. Non-native species taking over and destroying an area.

Is my marriage worth saving?
by sacdfan inlong story - will make it short - i was a jw for 4 years.
hy husband took to it straigt away and has been a jw for 20 years - we were both converted by one of his workmates.
our 4 kids were all baptised jws and thankfully 3 escaped (2 disfellowshipped, one fading) - so my eldest son is still in with his dad.

My wife was so glad when I was removed as an elder. I definitely had no time for her or family. Though the WTS stated that family comes before the cong, it actually did not. Losing the position in the organization was the best for me, though I did not see it at first. Now I spend time on the weekends with my family instead of the field ministry and shepherding calls.
I feel for you and your situation. As long as your husband is an elder, you will come after the cong.

New one
by freshcrepes ini've been lurking on this forum for over a year, and i thought i'd say a quick hello.. .
i was raised as a jehovah's witness and managed to endure past the encouragement that one receives from age 16 onwards about what is holding me back, and never got baptised.
i figured that making one of the most important decisions of my life requires a lot more thought than people seemed to be giving it, and shouldn't be based on emotion as is quite common.. .

Glad you joined this forum. It was so funny, that when I was being studied with by jw that they said to have an open mind. But when I became a jw then it became just the opposite. Listen only to the WTS. I agree whole-heartedly in your statement about the importance of having an open mind.
