I wish i could say i have but i havnt getting there tho.i unfortunatly realised there is a hall about 5 minutes from my new home here and whenever i see it or see witnesses out and about im terrified I dont even know of what .I just dont want them to find me.

Have you Overcome Guilt & Fear Since Exiting Jehovah's Witnesses ?

thought i would build on that a little dealing with how you have moved on after being a jehovah's witness ?.
one definition of guilt in the american heritage dictionary is : " self-reproach for supposed inadequacy or wrongdoing ".

Feeling numb... feeling like I did when I first DAed.
by Elsewhere inmy dad recently told all the kids that he has terminal cancer.
he is going to die... could be in a month... could be in a year.. all the kids recently visited my parents over last weekend.
i was allowed to come too due to the "family business" clause in the wts rules.. yesterday i cried... i'm still crying a bit today and am feeling numb.

My JW mom and sister are attending a birthday party I'm hosting
by Bumble Bee inmy mom knows my position on not being a jw anymore, and we have a pretty good relationship after some rocky patches.
my younger sister is the only one that is still a jw, my older siblings had all left many many years ago, and my younger brother and his family has left now as well.
we have had a few non birithday, birthday parties in the past, no candles on the cake, no singing happy birthday, but just all getting together as a family and having a good time.

I know im a much better person even my parents think so.Im much more kind and giving to people and i apprecaite things more and listen better.This is probably a cobination of coming out of adolescent brattiness and leaving J-dubs tho.

by Heartbreaker ini have no idea what i want to convey in words here on this site, and have surprised myself by even joining at all.
i intended just to read, and get a few pieces of information, and now am a member, and spend many hours looking through posts old and new alike.

I see alot of people here have recomended what a great therapy this site can be but also if you have been molested and being raised jw changes you.Pursue cognitive behavioral therapy you will learn and how to think and react differently to things it may help you greatly as it has helped me.
