both my husband and i got ours this week.
it seems the supply is limited again this season.
he didn't have any side affects, but my arm has been hurting since yesterday.
I always enjoyed getting the flu - the fever, chills, and vomiting can all be quite fun indeed.
Kidding aside, I have never received the shot. I have not had the flu in a long time (watch, I'll get it now that I wrote this ), and so I feel that it's not worth the possible risk of side effects. I realize those side-effects are rather rare, but for now I opt not to get the shot. That could change, of course.

i need confirmation about a rumour i keep hearing about in my country.
several jw's who know about the wt-un affair are saying that in usa the wt is having the elders in the congregations give a speech accepting the blame for this scandal & asking for forgiveness or something similar.
Given the history of the .org, such an admission would be highly unlikely. I would agree that this rumor would seem unfounded.

Mulan, I'm glad you posted this, as you indicated you might on another thread.
I certainly think that I can still be friends with those with whom I might not agree, and vice-versa.
I don't like to think of myself as a strongly opinionated person. So generally, I will bend and yield to another's opinion to whatever degree possible in order to avoid disagreement. After all, what makes me so sure I am right? Do I have access to all the facts on a matter? I seldom if ever do, so someone else's opinion can be just as valid, or more valid, than my own. Thus, I usually manage to avoid disagreements.
But if and when they do occur, I would hope that the friendship would remain intact. After all, it wouldn't be much of a friendship if it could not weather some disagreements.

my daughter attended a birthday party yesterday.
there were several other teens and two parents present.

Amazing, it takes a real man (or woman, of course) to admit that they may have been wrong, and also that they may not have seen some things clearly. So you are a stand-up guy, guy. I hope one day those friendships you spoke of can be rekindled.

The first thing we looked at was the field service time. If that was not up to snuff, then nothing else really mattered. Scriptures in 1 Timothy and Titus were almost never read.

Since I still attend, it's obvious that I am still hearing the tunes. Sometimes, I actually read the lyrics, and quite frankly, as many of you know, they're pretty darn ghastly.
