and i could never understand why, if the wt isnt inspired, would they claim to be "God's channel of communication and insist that we treat the wt articles as if they are inzpired.

I just got a phone call from the branch office....
by ex-witness ini just received a phone call from the local branch office.
the person on the phone asked me if i was serious about my letter of disassociation and if i knew what that implied.
my response.

My youngest son has the ears & a couple of tats, I think for him its to look as opposite as a jw as possible and to piss his dad off. Not sure about this guy, but hope my son doesn't go this far.

Hello JWN...excited to be a new member!

a tremendous amount of knowledge, wisdom, great debate, and lol humor, which is good for the soul.. i am not a jw, but the borg infected my family years ago, many are still trapped, and i have 2 big shot elders.. i became a huge opposer/apostate and had many a battle.
today we have learned to live in peace...live and let live.. recently, i decided to get up to date with everything jw... i often wonder why my family can't see or figure out the real truth.

Welcome Braveheart!, the reason they cant see it, is because they arent allowed to see it. They are kept so busy in theocratic activities that they dont have time for much else. A "good, little witness" has to avoid internet sites or literature that is critical of the watchtower, so, often , they dont see opposing views. The are told that those who leave the jws are evil apostates and liars, so they dont listen to us. They may , however, listen to you, as you have never been one.

Nope, but Im not anyone else, either, so what other people say doesn't really bother me. I've actually had alot of support from people here, not everyone agrees with me, or do I agree with them, but its OK. Im not responsible for their choices in life and their not responsible for mine, so I just try not to take things personally.
Have you had the opportunity to google some of these other religions that I mentioned that have similiar beliefs as the jws?
