that he is on life support and it doesn't look like he is going to pull through.. someone on another thread mentioned if he didn't survive how many.
was planning on attending his funeral.. to me this deserves its own thread.. .
ATJ has said it perfectly. If I wasn't in Australia, I'd be over there offering support and making sure to attend whatever there was to attend of this great man(not our leader, but a good man). It makes me sad not to have met him. At least I had the pleasure to correspond with him. A very humble, christian man.

there is another thread that notes a claim on wiki that said that ray has died.. he had a stroke yesterday, and is in the hospital.
he is still alive.
Reading sooner7nc post only goes to show what sort of man Ray is, always thinking of others. I'll be thinking of him and Cynthia from Australia, wishing them both all the best and my love.

when i left the jw's in 95', talk of the king of the north and peace & security was still big close to the end items.

They are finished with that scare tactic and even stop talking about how horrible the UN is as part of the wild beast or in affiliation with the harlot or whatever, since they where involved with the UN. They have even stop publishing about all the peodephiles in the clergy as they don't want to be publicly exposed. They are trying to focus on "the generation" and scare all the ones in there now/

it's been a while since i've posted because i've been so busy looking for a full-time job so that i could leave my husband.
well, i've finally got one today.
actually, it's the same job i've had for about a year but someone else just put in their notice to quit so my manager finally gave me full-time status.

i considered myself immune to ex jw stuff.
no amount of old watchtowers or anything would change me.
it was seeing treatment of others by elders and the bible itself, which woke me.
This is a great thread. For me it was, that I couldn't understand how the WT could possibly write things like the "child abuse" in all other religions and they themselves were as guilty as all of them. It was all the hypocricy from the top to alot of the publishers.

it has taken me a long time, but i have finally put together an article outlining how i used the law to force bethel to send me my personal files.

in brief, in 2006 i requested that bethel send me my files on the basis that the australian privacy act 1988 entitles people to receive a copy of any information a corporation holds about them.

some of you may have read my jw ex-wife's e-mail to my son last night after i posted it.
this is my son's e-mail response to his mothers initial e-mail.
i think i'll just let this speak for itself.
What a great son you have, flipper. To be honest, it made me have tears reading his email. I'm not saying your ex is, but you would have to have a heart of stone not to contact him straight away and just say "lets catch up and have a normal mother and son relationship". At least you can talk and reason with a person like your son. Very nice

....my final jw relationship.. i did it.
i killed the relationship.. my cousin rick and i had been inseparable as jw's.
rick is five years my junior, and in many ways i tried to look out for him like a little brother when we were younger.. i have wrestled with an on again/ off again attempt to stay in touch with rick since i left jw's.
How sad this organization(cult) can do this. I had my best friend for 50 years (we called each other fleshly brothers, even though we weren't), won't talk to me. And Iv'e just faded. I break down sometimes, thinking about it.

well i am hitting the big one on friday and i am happy it will soon be over.
it is lovely that all my new friends are excited for me, its just a little hard to get into it wholeheartedly when i am still nervous to get our son home.. .
still i did buy 6 bottles of champagne...so there must be a party feeling coming up in me!.
Happy birthday chickelittle,(it still feels funny saying that). I'm 50 on the 13th of May and its the first time I'll be celebrating it with some friends that can't believe I've never celebrated it before. All the best to you.
