Venice,

ok i know i haven't been around here much lately but i have been rather busy, kinda sorta.
well i have officially graduated from the florida college of natural health and have applied for my license to become an esthetician!!!!
i'm soo excited.
Venice,

i am not jw nor have i ever been.
i do not know the ends and outs of the jw religion.
i have an employee who is jw.
Jlob,
I think it is wonderful that you care enough about an employee to do this kind of research. JW's frown on divorce and tend to take sides when it happens within a congregation. Most likely if he isn't attending, he is being looked down on by the congregation. He will need alot of support, because when you are deep in the organization, you shut out everyone who is not. If he is in the process of leaving, he probably doesn't have any support.
Take care

.
when you were told you were going to be df,did you really want to be?
(before you found out the dirt on the wts?
The only reason I didn't want to be disfellowshipped is because I knew it would generate shunning from the part of my family that are still in the borg. Other than that, I really don't care what the people at the hall think.

i am asking this for a friend of mine (not a jw) who does not have computer access at home.
i figured i would ask since there is so many people who post here.. she is going thru a divorce and the judge said they have to share joint legal and physical custody.
they will each get the child 50% of the time.
I share joint custody with my ex. He has Tuesdays and Thursdays, plus every other weekend. I have Monday Wednesday and every other weekend. During the summer we go one week at a time unless we have a trip or something planned. This arrangement was made when my son was 5. It worked great then, but he's 13 now and he hates the going back and forth.

this is my kitten felix.
he is almost 1 year old now.
playful little thing.
This is my baby Evie, she's two
january 26 is a particularly hard day for me.
two of my children were born on this day, five years apart.
i can't wish either one of them a happy birthday.
(((((Windchaser))))) - I am so sorry for the loss of your son, I don't think a parent could ever completely get over that. As for your daughter, I would send her a birthday card anyway to the last address you have. If it comes back, hang on to it; you never know; there might be a reconciliation at some point, maybe even years. I was VERY angry at my mother for raising me as a JW for many years. I've gotten past it though. She's still in. It's strange because she's angry at me now for leaving the borg.
Take care and know that people are thinking of you

i always loved little animals, and i always will have one.
i noticed that most families do have pets.
for people living alone, a pet is a good companion.
My Englsih Bulldog is a very big part of my life. When I come home after a hard day, she's always happy to see me. Even when I'm mad or sad, her goofy face makes me smile

i changed my question to this: .
what nice biblical name would you give your child, and what was the ugliest biblical name you ever heard a witness give to his child?edited by - jh on 18 january 2003 12:3:36.
I gave my son the middle name "Matthew"
I would never name them Cain or Jezebel
folks.
we did the positive spin about being a witness.
now let's see if we can come up with anything negative about being a jehovah's witness....now, put your thinking caps on!
You can't pursue a career that has requirements beyond high school
You can't celebrate holidays
You can't wear mini-skirts to the K hall
You have to act like a jerk and shun your friends and family that leave (oh yes very Christian)
You public speaking skills are judged bv some guy who scrubs toilets for a living
Jade
a jw who formerly treated you badly when you were a dub, shunned and treated you even worse when you left - leaves the borg and is now a fellow ex-jw?.
has anyone ever had this happen to them?.
would you try to work out your differences?
When I was in the borg, my best friend left the witnesses. I shunned her as I was taught to do and we lost touch. She was the first person I called when I left and I gave her my sincere apologies. Thank goodness she accepted and we are the best of friends again today.
My brother and mother both shun me today. If they left the borg, I would welcome them with open arms. It's just as hard for them when they come out.
