  9th district partially reverses jehovah’s witnesses molestation suit.

  tracey blairlegal news reporter published: september 20, 2016. a lorain county trial court erred when it ordered the west congregation of jehovah’s witnesses to produce certain documents for discovery in a child molestation case.. however, the trial court was correct in concluding the majority of documents that were compelled are not protected from disclosure via the clergy-penitent privilege or the first amendment, according to a recent decision by the 9th district court of appeals.. former west congregation member elizabeth mcfarland sued the lorain-based church in 2013 for negligence, ratification and fraud by omission/concealment.. according to case summary, mcfarland was a member of west congregation from 1997 to 2001, when she was 10 to 14 years old.

  mcfarland’s parents told church elders that scott silvasy, a fellow member, had molested their daughter for several years.. silvasy died in 2003. mcfarland claimed elders never disciplined him or reported the issue to their superiors, and discouraged her parents from doing so.. in her suit, mcfarland said church elders were aware silvasy had previously molested a minor and was a danger to her.

  they are filing appeals OH GOOD in one court case in the uk these past weeks they were fined £250,000 by the court they appealed and finished up with a £1 million pound fine for court costs LOL

  a friend of mine told me about a huge elders meeting in southern california.

  the subject was the relocation and dissolution of some congregations; it seems that this is the result of some project that has been going on for some time and is going to be implemented right now.. please let me know if this is happening all over the country?.

  also another factor is what age the people are that go to the KHs because as people get older they tend to die and even if they do leave some money in a will once that money is gone then its gone and also it can be very depressing being with a number of people whos number is shrinking year by year

  one lawyer said he has over 28 cases in the pipeline that are going to be coming out soon.

  on december 1 st a new one just popped up.

  berkeley kingdom hall in wollongong south of sydney australia has just been sold.

  berkeley congregation are now sharing a neighbouring hall at dapto.. .

  the reason given was the governing body has taken over all the halls and the building was in need of repair.

  I doubt 50 years when all the child abuse cases start coming through then the watchtower will have a shock, over in the uk these past months they had a child abuse case and the watchtower finished up having to pay £1 million pounds in court costs,if you only get 10 such cases a year worldwide and that could be £10 million pounds a year lol

  i sat in town recently, right in the window of a nice wee pub.

  within minutes i realised that i had a perfect view of a jw cart and the two ridiculously dressed jw's (they have absolutely no individuality at all.

  what's more, they all look like they're going to a funeral).

  Its a win win the people can get their time in in a dead easy way and headquaters dont have to spend money replacing any magazines or books and now that the magazines are undated they could be there in 10 years time.with the same books and the same smile
