Newbies or folks who have Been Here the last 2 years - How is your Fade Going?

Hey there Mr. Flipper tell Mrs. Flipper I said hi! I wanted to get with you and say I'm doing good. I know I haven't been on here for a little while, was working and going to school and trying to get back to the meetings (mostly for family and some for dignity that yeah I can do it)... but that again changed after learning I was pregnant soo... Now, I quit school (again), my season job ended, and well I dread going back because I wanted to be reinstated and faded BEFORE getting pregnant... things didn't plan out the way I expected. But no harm done. I am enjoying being a stay at home wife soon to be mom in March... and getting the house perfectly clean, organized, and projects I wanted to get to, done... I can read more and figure out my next step.

Fading ended and planning for a new life begans! :) Hope you guys are doing good too! Thanks for the comment on my other post I made couple months ago! I read it yesterday and felt more confidant with my decisions so thanks. :)

I'm back! How is everyone today?!

share some news.... i'm pregnant with my first baby boy.

i haven't been going to the meetings very well recently just cause since the baby i hate living a fake life while having the responsibility of being a respectable mother.. my grandmother on my dad's side along with the rest of that side of the family wants nothing to do with me until i am a jw again and i know she still loves me and still thinks of me just has a bad way of showing it because of the shunning rule.. my jw mother and jw grandma on my mom's side are the only ones i will allow to see my baby freely because they know what true love is and still talk to me and treat me normal.. my sister i don't know what to think but i pretend she just lives to far away and has her own life.

sd-7, Hehe they do have cool little clothes and toys for the little ones… I feel like I get to be a kid again when I play toys and video games with my nephews, 4 and 7. And I think you gave good advice, thanks! JAnd I agree it would be a lot of stress on me to try and get back in just because I’m an emotional person anyways. I also have a lot of mixed feelings about my family and what I been taught.

Congratulations on your anniversary! And sorry you don’t feel good. Hope things get brighter and you feel better for ya! J

hi just a quick question.

i know some of you here are stil in kingdom hall.

i am looking for an article in watchtower ( it was a study article) about 5 month ago where they said that we are not to hold hands with our loved ones during prayer time.

OMG!! That totally is the most retarted rule or judgemental thing I have ever heard! Would I have said that when I was JW, no, but I would be thinking it!

Mental torture

it is pretty interesting to see the mental, emotional and physical impact that people have when realize the teachings of the org are lies.

i am not going to name any names or point fingers but i can say i have tremendous empathy for those who are recently aware.. let me splane,.

now that i know about the lies that i have been taught and subsequently taught people myself, i have become like a lost person.

If Worldly people stop donating blood Witnesses wouldn't have any "fractions" to use!

greatest religious hypocracy ever.....witnesses would be disfellowshiped for donating blood.....but can use fractions kindly donated by "worldly" people so witnesses can heal!

they condemn the blood banks as greedy, corupt, unsafe institutions.....yet they use them!.

anyways i think the last time i been on here i mentioned my jw sister not going to my wedding.

for those that do remember my story, the wedding was beautiful on the beach in key west, fl!

My grandma is from Japan I wonder if that is why she is so strict about not even say congradulations on me having a baby... My grandma on my mom side on the other hand came into the truth cause of my grandpa and his sister... I wonder if she had doubts all along and that is why she is so easy going about it.

The elders are kinda like that I think based on how they were brought up gives them a conscience of weither or not to treat DFment with strictness or with a kinder side. The hall i was brought up in is so stricted and set on sticking with the rules and the hall I was going to saw it more benefial to be more inviting and incouraging on what they were allowed to do... they even gave me their number and said call us if you need anything.

As far as a DF'd person in need, I think that any decent Witness would not deny that person help, it may even be arranged by the Elder body who may choose to extend assistance for that person's basic needs. That is just human decency. I would help that person regardless. And the guidelines regarding DFing state to not actively associate with that perso, say recreationally. Also, guidelines state not to discuss "spiritual matters" with that person (unless you are an Elder offering encouragement to that person to come back). There is nothing that I have ever heard of that incinuates not to help a person in need, even if DFd. I seriously doubt that Jehovah God would look down upon providing care to those who need it. If anything, I would think that is what being a true Christian is about.

That's what I thought too. but it depends on the Elder... It's a whole different story with me and many of my DFed friends how they treat them in each hall.
