Hahaha you know what I never knew exactly what that word was or came from and I still got the gest. hahaha OMG that is such an awesome word. I'm posting it on facebook. Not going to say anything else just that word and see if anyone knows what I'm talkin about! I have a JW friend who loooooves star track... she pokes me everytime I post pictures or make comments on there. Lets see if she pokes me on this one! ha

What was the last meeting you ever went to?
by lilbluekitty ini figured out it's been 4 months and 5 days since my last meeting ever.
july 10th, it was a sunday.
i hadn't been there in 2 months or so and decided to see if anyone noticed i'd been gone.

I'd say around the time I found out I was 5 months pregnant.... and his 8 months now... you will have to do the math cause I'm not sure. haha
I was wanting to go back to get my family out but now it's all on them now to get their selves out...
I have a family of my own I need to take care of now! :)

Is there any way around this? (Preaching when you don't believe)
by venusinfauxfurs ini figure i can do more to wake friends and family up on the inside than the outside and i didn't come to that decision without a great deal of pain.
i know it's not "the truth" but it isn't a bad life for me,and i still very much believe in god.
the witnesses aren't right but neither are the mormons, the catholics, etc and i have other family devoted to both those faiths.

The Jehovah Witness are good people. My sister is a pioneer and a wonderful person.
But they are a tool used by the Governing Body that translate the scriptures for them in to an extreme extent. We have free will and freedom of choice, when there is a leader among you that takes that right from you out of fear and manipulation it’s wrong. God gave use the Bible to grow in his image not the Governing Body’s.
Don’t be afraid of rejection of Jesus! He has welcomed ones to learn and has felt pity for many all sorts of people… even though JW’s have manipulation in their literature, they still use the Bible and that my friend is the key of getting you out!!
You will just be labeled spiritually weak… if you quit you will find that your friends won’t invite you to hang out with them as much and maybe approached by the “spiritually strong” pioneers about how things are going and maybe even the elders. For my mom though over time they quiet coming over or be your friend. They will only welcome you at the hall and say “Nice to see you again?!” “It’s so encouraging to see you here!” Love bombing…
Staying a JW and showing their literature to others is like a witness in itself. You want to move people to read the Bible rather than the propaganda. And you might want to reconsider saying you studied all other beliefs this process takes time and yes God is Patient!! And very forgiving… your humble concern shows that you are sincere.
Yes no harm is done when you leave in a better position if you keep your doubts to yourself or at least watch how you word your doubts… these doubts can cause concern to the other in that you could be seen as a Stumble to the others in the Hall. Just remember there is no time though that will be better when God sees you getting out of false religion.
God wanted us to preach not of his kingdom but about Him… his loving kindness his willingness to forgive… about grace. As far as the Doctrines go I would hold out until you are fully convinced what the “truth” is!!

My story in more detail
by freshstart inso as i stated in my first post, i was born to witness parents.
from early on, my parents were both quite fanatical about the "truth.
" we couldn't even eat lucky charms cereal because they thought it had satanic connections.

Freshstart your an inspiration and a strong and brave woman! I envy you because you handled yourself so well!! You suffered and keep on believing in yourself! {tears} ...
I am moved by your story... and thank goodness for such a supportive husband! I came across many post here and many are suffering with the fact their mates stay steadfast as a Jehovah Witness and broke away or stayed distant from there mate.
We are here for you as well Freshstart!! I am so happy you came on here and shared your story!!

Shunning is so stupid
by AwSnap ini cannot seem to shake the visual image i have from about 5 days ago.
i went over to my mom's house, and apparently she didn't mention it to my younger sister (who lives in their downstairs apartment).
she and her baby were visiting with my mom, and when she saw me walking up the side walk, she grabbed her toddler up in her arms and i saw her hauling ass down the stairs....the toddler didn't understand why she was just snatched up and hauled away and started screaming.

straightshooter I hope your son gets feeling better! Last month it seemed like we had the same problem with a runny nose... my son had it and then me and then him and so on... it lasted for four weeks!! He is still to young for him to get a prescription so he had to suffer. I felt so sorry for him when he got so stuffy he couldn't breath good. But funny, one morning I went in the mirror to find dried up snot smeared across my face!! Yuck!! haha That's babies for ya! Wipen their face on yours. (I was half asleep when it happened cause I still get up three times a night to feed him. ha)

Anyone know how Lady Lee is doing? I ran across one of her posts on the freeminds.org and it looked like she was recovering from a loss of an unborn grandchild. Sorry to hear Lady Lee.

Catching the Manipulation in Sundays Watchtower Article

Possible-san and Mr Flipper thank you soooo much for the encouragement. Kinda felt like I was in over my head and should keep my ideas to myself. I honestly didn't want to create a huge project for anyone our make them feel like "really?? I left because I didn't want to hear this crap now someone says lets read the articles!!" hahaha I know I know I get it.
I was just throwing it out there as something for someone that needs it... or has to have proof of every little aspect of JW thinking.
I know that the Sunday Articles are one of the main tools JWs uses to bring people in and use on their Sunday meetings. If you want to get them out you have to know what they are thinking! That's what I think and that's what I learned from Steven Hassen.
