How much apostate is in each JW ?
by inbetween inrecently i talked to some jw, even so called strong ones in the truth:.
i noticed, they do not believe everything from the wts, for example:.
one older sister, a close relative of mine, she has been pioneering for years, babtizes over 40 years ago, mentioned, that sometimes she wonders about certain teaching, but she can not say anything, because somebody would say, she speaks against jehovah himself..further she said, she remmebers 1975, and that the society tried to blame the brothers, but was clearly responsible itself... i was quit shocked to hear that from her, and i added some careful comments in the same direction.... other brothers do not agree with certain teachings, like resurrected ones will not marry, or animals will not eat each other etc.... maybe those are "minor" issues, but if you doubt one teaching of gods channel, doesnt that mean, you doubt the whole thing ?.

According to the apostle John’s vision, "scrolls were opened," and "the dead were judged out of those things written in the scrolls according to their deeds." Are these scrolls the record of people’s past deeds? No, the judgment will not focus on what people did before they died. How do we know that? The Bible says: "He who has died has been acquitted from his sin." (Romans 6:7) Those resurrected thus come to life with a clean slate, so to speak. The scrolls must therefore represent God’s further requirements. To live forever, both Armageddon survivors and resurrected ones will have to obey God’s commandments, including whatever new requirements Jehovah might reveal during the thousand years. Thus, individuals will be judged on the basis of what they do during Judgment Day.
Judgment Day will give billions of people their first opportunity to learn about God’s will and to conform to it. This means that a large-scale educational work will take place. Indeed, "righteousness is what the inhabitants of the productive land will certainly learn." (Isaiah 26:9) However, not all will be willing to conform to God’s will. Isaiah 26:10 says: "Though the wicked one should be shown favor, he simply will not learn righteousness. In the land of straightforwardness he will act unjustly and will not see the eminence of Jehovah." These wicked ones will be put to death permanently during Judgment Day.—Isaiah 65:20.

I'm sorry angel eyes I didn't mean to affend at all! Seriously I understand completely... try to stay strong while you can... I tell that to my sister. I didn't want to mislead her until I full believe it myself. And this board makes alot of good points. I fortunitly have time to research and dig deep in seeing it for myself. Time reveal all things...
working on finding that scriputural proof...

Haha she reminds me kinda of myself when I was a JW... She probably wont change til she gets DF or something really bad happens to her caused by the JWS.
I stay kinda silent on this topic cause I wonder this myself and have family and friends that doubt as well but still stay firm in JWS.

OnTheWayOut... yelp we ask that too even girls!! lol I found out it's really really bad among the JW... when I was starting to hang out with some from different congregations. I loved it though it was the spice of life knowing your not the only one... branching out can be a good thing or a bad thing. I hanged out with a group of 16-17 year olds and I was 20-21 and it sucked then one of the friends I was hanging out with, dated my younger sister 16 and I started being their chaperone. It sucked even worse here I was 21 and never even been kissed. So I started hearing about my sister's boyfriends brother (DFed). I was curious about him. He was my age and everyone said we would have been a good pair if he was in the truth. And that's where it lead to me getting DFed.

This are questions I asked myself. When I turned 21 I left my parents house. It was hard for them but they still love me and talk to me! I was DF.
My friends and some of my cousins sound like you and they left at 16 or 18... They found it hard but worth it at the end.

What are all the consiquences to my decisions?
What is bad association really? Am I muture enough to decide for myself being (16 to now a young adult) ?
Am I spiritually strong or spiritually weak? Do I have to be a pineer to be looked well upon or have friends? Where do I find self confidance?
What are my true consciences decisions? Will I be looked down upon? Will be a benifit to me, my future, and my loved ones?
-4 year colleges
-dating ones outside of JW
-friends that are JW or nonJW

Everything About Being An Elder is Weird (my misc rambling memories of being an elder)
by AllTimeJeff infor any brother who is a jehovah's witness, the goal is put before them to reach out for the privilege of being an elder.
i can only speak for myself, but being born into the religion, i wanted to be an elder since i was 5. i would have much rather wanted to be a doctor or engineer, but those are the breaks..... i'll skip the part about what it takes to reach out, all the crap you have to put up with as a ministerial servant to get appointed, and go straight to the reality.. i know many elders who sincerely just wanted to be shepherds.
i did want the spotlight.

Oh wow!!! Geez everyday is like... making me more and more addicted in coming to this site. I just came across this post of yours ATJ!
I have tons to say on that... (before I got DF I had this guy I really liked and he really liked me... but he sounded just like you did, such a (grrr... can't think of a mean word to descibe it) guy, well he's a ministerial servant now at the age of 18... but with his congregation needing elders I'm sure that's coming around the corner... he just got married too. (I of coarse though he was way to young... geez I was 4 years older then him!) Everything that is done in the Organization is rushed...
Still have tons to say... but yay you left and help ppl like me... your a great person and you defiantly learned from the past. Thanks for comments and this posts.
