This should be moved into the Best Of section. I had been waiting on some more insight regarding Jaracz. So many people have such a negative opinion of the guy. At one point I was thinking to myself, maybe its because he's not the best looking older man you've seen in recent times. I was thinking, maybe if he was more photogenic, he wouldn't get such a bad rap. After reading this however, it all comes into perspective so clearly. It all makes sense now. This organization is a nightmare for some many. I'm starting to get a better understanding how feces slides from the top down.
One part I find particulary amusing was this.
One well-respected writer, Lee Watters, said directly to me that Ted Jaracz was insane. He said, “Watch his eyes when he’s speaking, and you’ll see he’s not normal.”
I busted out laughing after reading that. So Jaracz was not only a mean, ugly SOB, he was also a nut.

5th Generation I can relate to a degree with where you're coming from I think. Not me personally, but in the Hall I go to. There are two upper middle aged couples. Both couples are doing pretty well financially. I can't go into specifics as to what the husbands do for a living as it will potentially blow my cover. However, the one couple, is very blue collarish if you will. The husband is the type who likes to get dirty. He's the type who will spend a small fortune on hardware, tools, etc.. Very nice couple. Unless you knew what they did for a living, you'd never guess they were as well off as they are. The other couple, is very "proper." The wife who's ok in my book, she's very concerned about appearances, somewhat materialistic. Who am I kidding, she is materialistic. Her husband the breadwinner, very nice guy, very brainy and quite well off, yet very down to earth. He could care less about what he owns, or what other people think of him or his success. He'd be just as content to be mopping a floor somewhere on a graveyard shift.
What's funny about the two couples is, the people in the Hall, and the Circuit as well, are more cold toward the "proper" couple. It's classism through and through in my personal opinion. There's a resentment I pick up on that people have toward them simply because they're financially well off. This couple is the one that will take the CO and his wife to a 5 star resteraunt. His wife is the one who will wear real pearls to the Memorial. Nothing wrong in those things, but some people for whatever reason catch offense to that. Meanwhile the blue collarish couple who are well off, people adore them. Again a lot of it has to do with appearances. Like I said, you'd never know this guy is a millionaire looking at him or even hanging out with him. That's just not his style. But its funny seeing how people treat one another in the hall based off whatever social heirarchy is present.

I was informed that the Convention was Fantastic

"the symposiums were great, each segment was short enough to keep you engaged" was the response.. my reply "so the wts is catering for the short attention span tv generation.".

I heard from somebody in the know, that this convention was "the best one yet!" Someone else told me, "it was timely!" Yet, someone else told me, "it was so beneficial!" And yet, someone else told me, "it was so encouraging!"
I don't know who to believe.

Meeting experience
by gutted inthis weeks service meeting was typical.. "where were you?
" "i'm concerned about you".
then the typical song and dance of the parts/talks, all recycled notions of doing better in the service.

Wow. I was getting ready to hit the sack. You know, your a troll, so I shouldnt get worked up over you. Typically I don't when it comes to you and your kind. For the record, I'm still not worked up. But this one hit kind of personal. To be completely honest, if you were within arms length of me right now, I'd get charged with assault. I'd swear I'd leave track marks on your eye. At the end of the day though, I recognize you're not a real JW. Just a troll, passing through having fun. I guess I shouldn't knock that. I like to mess with people sometimes too. Just so you and I are clear, if you really loved Jehovah and "His Organization", you wouldn't be on here making believing JWs look so bad.

I'm asking for a book suggestion
by Scarred for life inrecently, someone on here(i can't remember who) suggested the book, "who wrote the bible?".
i ordered it from amazon and my husband has read it and loved it.
it dealt mostly with the old testament.

Anyone Know the title...
by feenx inof a book that came out recently that was a woman's comedic memoir of growing up as a jw.
i remember the cover clearly, it was a picture of a little girl standing under an umbrella, with sun and green grass, and the umbrella was shielding her from armageddon with dark bldg's behind her and people running.
it was either last year or earlier this year that it came out.. any help is much appreciated .

I wonder sometimes whether Horry should be in the Hall of Fame at some point. He's got the most rings, plus without a doubt he was one of the greatest clutch shooters, if not thee greatest clutch shooter this game has ever seen. No opposition wanted to see him with the ball with 2 seconds left in the fourth quarter. An old Rap song I liked, one of the lyrics was,

Generation 'New Light' is Actually Working
by zoiks inas ridiculous as it seems to me and most of you, the infamous 'generation' update has every jw that i know in a tizzy.
they're all worked up about how 'exciting' it all is.
i just received a letter from my mom (she only communicates through letters now), and she brought it up - how they carefully explained it at the convention, and how it shows that we are so close to the end.. unbelievable.

Library Visit # 2: 607 BCE vs. 587 BCE - With Pictures!
by mentallyfree31 inapproximately five weeks ago, i visited the local library and searched every book i could find that discusses the destruction of jerusalem in ancient times.

the results were conclusive: all secular sources agree that jerusalem was destroyed in 587/586 bce.

Thats the problem Alice. You're not making me think. You're not a very stimulating person I'll tell you that. I'd venture to guess you're quite single and not because you're being chaste either. You haven't done a very good job supporting the WT's position on anything. One of the things that got me lurking on this forum and eventually joining and posting was the collage of ideas. Valid positions that can be supported scriptually. I've been on here about a year now, and upon reflection I've found somethings I believe the WTS has nailed. Other things I believe they haven't got a clue on and haven't been entirely honest in their publications. While lurking here, there were real JWs posting. Some of Renaia's posts where stimulating. Other JWs as well. You're not a real JW. I'm starting to wonder if you're demon posessed. The avy you use appears very demonic in nature. It's very dark and is something I believe John warned about when he stated there are many AntiChrists. You're an AntiChrist, Rachel. Turn back before its too late.
