  Reference to not mentioning GB in reports

  i think my previous username was "tfjw" but i had to get a new account.. .

  anyway, i'm doing some research on judicial cases, how they are handled, the use of the secret "flock" book (pay attention to yourselves and to all the flock) and other related topics.

  i'm trying desperately to find the quote referring to the elders where they are not to mention the governing body or the society, as it may be, in certain reports.

  It was at the CO visit, during the Elders meeting, that he would conduct the 'necessary' business to write in the books.

  True we all agreed to return the book, but with all our notes, that part of the book belonged to us. I was always ready for a confrontation over returning it, but no one ever asked for it back.

  Years later, an Elder, I ran into, brought up to me my keeping the book in a deragatory way while at a Flea market. I didn't even respond, wasn't worth it.

  But, the book was eventually destroyed with all my other JW stuff when I felt so inclined.

  As long as its not 'Lester the molester' then that's ok by me. lol

  I saw Kite give talks at our CA's in the early 70's. He was a dynamic speaker.

  One of his talks stood out:

  "King of the North with emphasis of 1975" - This one very controversial. Clearly was stating the end would come then. As he said in the talk, some JW's were saying it was not happening in '75 and he corrected them with a letter from the WTS saying it was, would happen.

  I taped the talk and while in Bethel we would listen to it.

  a couple of weeks ago, an ex-bethelite(10 years) by the name of mel smith was disfellowshipped.

  i understand that he still lives in ny are and has a mortgage company.

  evidently, he was hurt while serving at the farm and watchtower did some horrible things to him.

  If you really want to have fun on this site and go beyond gossip, do a search on Rutherford. Never a great fan of him, but it blew my mind to learn more about the guy.

  As my wife used to say, "I never trusted him" Now we know why.

  Blood on the doorpost

  recently an elder told me he compared conducting a regular family study to the israelites putting blood on the doorpost.

  they were doing just what jehovah asked them to do prior to being delivered, just as family study is what the governing body is asking jws to do in these last minutes of the last hours of the last days.

  to his credit, he did say this was just his own idea, not what the society says.
