leavingwt.... I just feal that your church going grandmother is putting herself in a dangerouse position. Should her church start trying to indoctrinate her it can dangerouse to her. Same can be said for becomming apart of any group, hard athiests groups or even agnostics.
Being religiouse,athiest or agnostic, it is best to remain a partisipant but not a member of any organisation.

leavingwt Correct there will never be a shortage of vulnerable people. But informed vulnerable people could lead to a crisis in recruitment.
Actually I think the recruitment focuses on in house recruiting, and keeping the rank and file recruited. And as i said ex-members are a threat to this.( I like to think we are a crisis issue to the G.B)

there are many "proof" texts that people (including jws) use to justify their rejection of anyone that is gay.
there are a few scriptures that you can pull up and try to make a case for show homosexuals why they are evil and wrong.. i've been researching more of these scriptures and i'm coming to some very different conclusions than many other christians hold, especially jws.
i wanted to talk about the first text used by many people to condemn homosexual behaviour.
passwordprotected...good point, Jesus never commented on a persons sexuality.
The American Indians practised homosexuality,had different funnerals and were considerd barbaric by the priests who tryed to change the wisdom and warmth and humun insight of these proud people.
The simplistic answer is it is NOT disingenous to say the city was destroyed because of lack of hospitality. Ironically the Indians hospility to the priests in my mind destroyed a very hospitable people.
