Absolutely correct there is an enormous amount of black on white violence. In general black on white crime is ten times greater than white on black. DOJ numbers also show that the 6.5% of the population that is black male commits 36% of homicides.

The Courts have held that the Clergy Penitent privilege does apply to Witnesses. You might not like it but that's a fact. Until that changes, which is unlikely because precedent has been set, you can mumph all you want about how wrong it is but it won't make any difference.

Would You Ever Go Back To The Witnesses??

some would have even stayed in the organization if they became a bit more liberal and open minded.

If they would let me change the face of the Organization, which I believe I could do with about two articles in the Watchtower, I would consider it. There are a lot of nice people in the Organization and there is an attractive sense of community so if that could be focused for good it would be worthwhile.

JW views on saving and retirement
by neat blue dog inprobably one of the most common causes of cognitive dissonance many jws face is the choice to plan for retirement.
if you're a good jw, then you should believe that the end will be coming soon, surely before you retire.
that's what i did when i was younger, blowing decades that could've been better spent because i believed the end was coming, so any planning was a waste of time.

In my experience only the dumb and the undisciplined actually practice the "relying" thing. I've know COs that had accumulated pretty nice portfolios over the years but they tended to only discuss it with people that had done similar things.

The monumental ignorance of many of the flock who didn't know even JW doctrine much less any broader view of theology, history or much of anything else but viewed themselves as vastly superior to any none Witness they met and who could all sing the "we are really wonderful" song with great gusto and persistence.

They desperately want to believe they are the most hated. The truth is they are not even on most people's radar. I recently had conversations with two pastors, one of whom had be active globally for decades. They had almost zero knowledge of Witnesses, had no animosity toward them and didn't find them significant in any way. The truth is the Organization has delusions of grandeur when the reality is that in the great scheme of things they are insignificant.

Blew it this morning with 4 JWs

walked to the end of my driveway and who should be approaching...but 2 ladies, one old (dianne) and one younger both with watchtower mags in hand.
dianne shared how the world was under the control of satan etc.
