  URGENT: NEED HELP FOR A FRIEND FIGHTING HIS JW WIFE FOR CUSTODY

  i just got a call from a friend of mine who is going to court on friday to fight to see his children because his jw ex-wife doesn't want him to have access to them anymore.

  in a nutshell this is his situation: met her about 12 years ago after she had left the borg and they got married and had a couple of kids.

  she decided that she didn't want her children murdered by jehovah at armageddon so after being gone for 7 years, she went back and went back with a vengence.

  Interracial Marriage

  here is a question i want to pose because i do not know the correct answer.

  i have seen many interracial married couples among jehovah's witnesses--moreso than i have seen in other religions.

  however, i have been told that once upon a time, interracial marriage was frowned upon by the wts hierarchy.

  Is it just me or was it alway more acceptable for a white guy to marry an asian woman?

  I noticed that too growing up it was more acceptable to see asian-white or even asian-black than it was to see black-white.

  I cannot speak for the Jehovah's Witnesses regarding these kinds of marraiges but I do recall a member of an IFB church that I use to attend speaking against interracial marriages when I had revealed to her that I was dating a black woman (I am white).

  it took me a long time to write this....i'm being brutally honest...i am still a reg pioneer...three sundays ago,i was praying and asking god for a sign or something because i was so confused...i told him exactly what i needed to see for me to believe.i was feeling terrible--crying and feeling sick because i was so confused.ten minutes after, i walked into the kingdom hall and to my surprise--my prayer was answered!

  i soooo wasn't expecting it, even though i prayed.

  so this is where almighty god wants me to be,ii've reasoned.

  SHAMUS100 - actually, most people in our Kingdom hall are apostates! Apostate Catholics, Protestants, Baptists, Mormons. . .

  I recall telling Brother Hero during our 'Bible Study' that our JW babysitter is an apostate of the Catholic church. He naturally dismissed it because she is such a nice person, but never-the-less, it is true.

  For HERS, maybe go with Tinkerbell. What could a JW say to that?

  Now my wife loves Tinkerbell. It became a problem for her later on when she at first tried to defend our JW babysitter's view on Super Why.

  I am not sure how my wife is going to react to this when she sees it. Back when our JW babysitter told my oldest daughter that she did not like Super-Why because they use magic, it caused a bit of a dispute between my wife and I. Like my wife, I too came from a church that saw Satan in just about anything and I told her how those comments reminded me of that church and their apprenhension to things like the Smurfs and Captain Planet.

  Since you are a relatively newbie to this religion, I wonder how much do you really know about other churches and their beliefs. As I just got finished saying, my old church (an Independent Fundamental Baptist church) was equally paranoid about Satan and saw him in just about everything. They too believed that they have the correct interpretations of the Bible and their favorite translation is the King James because they believe all other translations are not correct. When I was studying with the witnesses, I remember seeing these obvious parallels between them and the IFB's. Since I was burned once by a cult (that I did not view as a cult at the time), I was not about to do it again.
