A guy in my church was a JW and an FBI agent at the same time in the 1970s. He was actually an elder at one point but I don't know if he was an elder and fbi at the same time. He also worked for the state police in Kansas or something before and after the FBI. I know for a fact, much to my surprise, that he was a police officer and an elder at the same time and carried a gun too. This was probably early 1970s.

I have tried to bring this issue up on a forum called allnurses.com, the largest nurse forum in the world and there are a lot of JW nurses on that site that smack down any mention of this subject. Even non-jw nurses wil scream "hate speech" if you try to question JW fitness for the nursing profession. so I think the medical community is mostly at peace hiring JWs. they are certainly defended much on that site.

It's Time to Stop Saying...

it just isn't true any longer.
i have posted documentary evidence of jws world wide accepting whole platelets , whole plasma, whole white blood cells, their own whole blood after it being stored up to six hours, and evidence of them saying they are "very happy" that the courts ordered the transfusion of their children saving their lives.

I got the idea from what Harvey Milk did for the gay movement. I am tired of hearing these stories about people staying JWs while scared to admit they don't believe in it anymore. If you saw the movie Milk, then you know the argument. If everybody comes out then almost every JW family will know someone who has left. A percentage of those families will not cut off their sons so strictly, and continued association may soften JWs, some of them/ Also, it takes courage to be open about leaving. So people who live a lie for the sake of making life easier and holding onto their family are lacking courage. Courage is what they need. And if your relationships are propped up on a lie, an imaginaty bond dependent on your current daily performance, then your whole life is a sham and you are very much to be pitied.
Those who are staying in a secretly being subversive nand trying to infiltrate the jws to get them out are also living a lie. while I appreciate those who do this on one level, cuz they can get us things beinf on the inside and they can report to us goings on, I still wish all who are mentally out would just be brave and make an announcement to everyone in their life about what you really believe. So stop playing games with jws. just leave, and if they can't accept you the way you are then to hell with them. they are not worth saving.

I have known dozens of disfellowshipped minors in my life. For awhile it seemed like they were the ONLY ones getting dfd in my area.

as a teacher I am taught to report abuse, and neglect is defined as a type of abuse. If I see a case of neglect I see a case of abuse and I must report it. To answer the comment on whether it is neglect or abuse. But I feel it is not a case of neglect since it is a positive action perpetuated agressively upion the child. It is not simply ignoring the child. It is injstitutional rape.

by marriedtoajw inas i've mentioned in a previous post, my wife has been sending mixed signals to me for years on what she does concerning violating jw rules.
what i didn't mention at the time was that she has also gone through gung ho sprees from time to time.
she is now insisting on taking the kids to the hall.

Don't let the kids go to meetings, please. You may have to get a court order to that effect. Do you celebrate their birthdays? Christmas? How far are you from becoming a "regular worldly person?" Do you see that as an eventuality? now that your mind has worked its way loose, what do you see yourself doing? how is that going to change how you raise your kids? Are you going to let them be in Little League? Ballet lessons for the girls? Yoga, martial arts, etc?

The only component I have not found JWs to be openly accepting is red blood cells. But I'm sure I will find a report of that being done soon. Now it just doesn't make sense to even bring up that they don't accept red blood cells when they accept every other part.
Seriously, I think the reason JWs are less likely to accept whole red blood cells is because they are red. And red is the color associated with blood. White blood cells don't seem as evil as they are white.
So, let's just stop saying it. JWs accept blood. It is a fact.
