Why JWs even use the bible nowadays boggles my mind
For the most part, they don't. There is more extrapolation than scripture in a Watchtower article.
john 2:9-11-anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister[a] is still in the darkness.
10 anyone who loves their brother and sister[b] lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble.
11 but anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness.

maybe you're all familiar with this subject already but i just came across it tonight.
it's an article about whether or not amway is a cult.
the similarities between jehovah's witnesses and amway are incredible.. http://www.cocs.com/jhoagland/amcult.html.
Evaluating MLMs:
I am aware of no MLM that has satisfactory answers to all of these; many cannot give a good response to even one of them!
how do ya figure this!??.

http://www.opposingviews.com/i/religion/survey-finds-evangelical-christians-are-most-likely-cheat-their-spouses.
Only because they're such a small group relative to the other categories reported! The wording of the article is poor; it gives the results in a way that represents population size rather than the likelihood that any given persoon will cheat on their spouse. Also, the survey's methodology is poor (a self-selected sample is not a random sample, and therefore is unlikely to provide accurate results).
98.76543210% of all statistics cited in internet articles are meaningless, made-up BS (including this one).
i'm not talking about a individual, but a congregation as a whole.. i'm talking about a brother or sister that really hit hard times.. have there ever been an occasion where the brothers (elders).
decided to dip into the kh funds and help one in need????.
example, brother loose his job, get evicted, family of four or.
I cannot recall any cases of financial help, but there were cases in the 1990s and early 2000s where Ex's kingdom hall organized meal schedules to help the sick and elderly. The sad thing is that those are the only cases I remember where any bona fide charity came from the local kingdom hall.
it seems that batman has been portrayed by more actors than any other superhero.. who do you think has played the best in the role of bruce wayne/batman?.
Adam West! He turned hackneyed scripts, bad props, and absurd special effects into a low-budget slapstick classic.
greetings to all who surf shark-infested internet waters.. after i was hit by ransomware the other day, i did research on so-called safe sites.
it seems more and more sites are being infected deliberately by hackers.
i went to a legit-looking site on a famous artist and -- wham!
Keep everything you run up-to-date (that means replacing an old Windows XP machine, because XP isn't supported any more).
Use Chrome, Firefox or Opera instead of Internet Explorer. As the biggest target, IE attracts the most attention from the evil-doers.
Set your browser to the tightest security settings you can tolerate, including Javascript settings.
Use Ad-Block and Flash-block browser extensions. Be wary of where any Flash content comes from before you run it.
Use a good anti-virus program and Spybot Search-and-Destroy.
Set up a guest account on your computer and use that for web browsing, not a "computer administrator" account.
i know clergy are mandated here in california but are elders considered clergy?.
father is on drugs and since confessed.
" father of the year, right!
Link to summary of clergy reporting laws by state (US Dep't of Health and Human Services--PDF file).
I believe the oldest daughter was telling on the father (to the elders) the entire year
In California (and many other states) the clergy privilege is limited to "pastoral communications". Communications including victims, witnesses and other third parties may not be considered to be "pastoral" and not exempt from the reporting requirement. To know if that applies to the elders' contact with the daughter, you would need the advice of an attorney familiar with the law, especially how the courts interpret what is (and is not) pastoral communications.
the book of enoch taught women magic, the art of war.
and cosmetic..they felt this book was too far out in left field.. the show "bible secrets revealed".. ok, magic vs having a monster baby by a angel.. so happy they omitted that book, otherwise women would.
be leaders of the militaries.
It depends on whose Bible you're talking about. Enoch follows the pentatuch in the Ethiopian Orthodox Bible.
or do you believe they have the right to practice their religion, as they do?.
If the Warchtower Society was outlawed, its members soon would be sucked into some other high-control group. It would be better to innoculate them with understanding and critical thinking skills, so they learn to be nobody's fool.
do you have a favorite.
do you bet on the ponies.. gotta pull for california chrome..
I loved the story - the humble beginnings and a couple guys who did it out of love for the animal.
Yes, the story reminds me of Seabiscuit: a horse nobody else believed in, a trainer who was "too old", from a California track the elite owners considered a backwater, and owners who were too foolish to listen to the "experts". Next up: Preakness!
