'Hellfire'- a non-Biblical word
You may not find that exact word, but the Lord's teaching is clear:
Then he will say to those on his left hand, "Go away from me, with your curse upon you, to the eternal fire created for the devil and his angels."... And they will go away to eternal punishment, and the upright to eternal life. [Matthew 26: 41, 46]
This shows that the Watchtower's denial of eternal damnation is not scriptural.

I grant that the date December 25 is arbitrary, just as the entire Julian calendar is arbitrary and inaccurate (not to mention pagan and idolotrous). The date is not important, it is the rememberance that matters.
The Gospels of Matthew and Luke tell us to honor the coming of Christ:
The sight of the star filled them with delight, and going into the house they saw the child with his mother Mary, and falling to their knees they did him homage.Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts of gold and frankincense and myrrh. [Matthew 2: 10-11]
In the countryside close by there were shepherds out in the fields keeping guard over their sheep during the watches of the night. An angel of the Lord stood over them and the glory of the Lord shone round them. They were terrified, but the angel said, 'Do not be afraid. Look, I bring you news of great joy, a joy to be shared by the whole people. Today in the town of David a saviour has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord' ... I overheard a nauseating conversation . . .

" i turned and knew the nature of the source of the comment immediately, judging by the polyester pantsuit and delusional "deer in headlights" look on her face.
her companion replied, "but i like celebrating christmas and don't see anything wrong with it.

No, they don't celebrate Christ's birth on any day of the year. Nor do the celebrate the resurrection. They celebrate only their "Memorial", nothing else. This is what lies behind the cheerful facade they show to prospective converts. The Witness religion is so depressing!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! ! I'M OUTTA HERE...

ironically, i'll be spending christmas with some witnesses this year, as we're going to my sisters and she's invited her family, her father in law and some dubs from the hall over.
thankfully, the ones that are coming are normal and treat me fine, even though they know i don't go anymore.

HDMI Cables - Don't get ripped off

when buying my blu ray player for $79, they tried to sell me a cable for $59.. beware!
with digital signals, you either get the signal or you don't.

High dollar speaker cables don't affect the sound, only the warm fuzzy feeling in your brain (and your credit card balance). Don't take it from me, listen to prominent skeptic James Randi and engineering guru Bob Pease. Here's a big hint: the wire in the speakers' "cross-over network" is probably as long as the wires going to your amplifier, and skinnier, too.
Go to Lowe's or Home Depot and buy their bulk wire. Then use the money you saved to buy better speakers, or several bottles of good wine: either way, you'll be getting more for your money!

The most apostate thing you could do..?
by iMARX init's taken me a while to start watching films with ghosts in - even a christmas carol - and then eventually i started smoking pot and it didn't bother me at all.
but there are still some things i would have trouble with doing because of the remains of my christian conscience.. anything you guys still haven't brought yourself to do yet?.

I think most of the postings on this board qualify as Apostacy, at least as the WT uses the word. The best ones certainly do!
But I can't be an Apostate, strictly speaking, because I never joined up. I was only involved by marriage, not by dunking.
