My anniversary is next week. And yes, I did send the card. It just said "We want to wish you a very happy anniversary. We love you."
And, no, I certainly do not expect a "happy anniversary" back

I always picture kids who grow up and are furious with people who "didn't try harder" to know them. I picture this scenerio with my niece towards me. Then again, if I didn't want my child to know a certain person, I'd be PISSED if they kept trying to pursue contact. Then again, I am a good person who simply doesn't want to be a jw. It's tough.

Well isn't this just lovely. I can see my MS brother-in-law showing this to the rest of my family as soon as he can. I'm not even disfellowshipped, but he says I should be. And he already yelled at my father for allowing me to come to a family gathering, "forcing him and _______ to not be able to attend." Poor fella.

someone who's shunning you? It's my sister's 10th anniversary today. I sent her an anniversary card in the mail, and am reeeeally hoping it doesn't get returned to me. She's been shunning me for 2 years because I let her know (NICELY and CALMLY) why I don't want to be a jw anymore. I hate her husband. He's a jackass ministerial servant. And I really wish they never got married. But I love my sister, even though she's so cult-minded. Not sure if I should just leave it alone....or pursue contact? I also enclosed a picture of my baby for her daughter, whom is not allowed to talk to me. I doubt she'll actually have it given to her.

I love the hypocrisy...slamming other religions for not adhering to the bible.
by poopsiecakes inthis is from the january 2012 wt (members edition).
to this day, many of the clergy elevate the uninspired sayings of so-called church fathers to a plane higher than the word of god!
if you have ever discussed the trinity doctrine with a seminarian, you have likely noticed that.. .

I never even read the Bible until a year ago.....and I was a JW for 20 years. I *thought* I'd read the Bible, but now realize that they just taught me to say that. I sure read lots of jw literature though
Its funny. Once you actually READ it, you see how crazy the jdubs are

I had a jw come into my business to redeem a gift certificate. "Do you have others working with you?" she asked. "Nope! Just me!"
I didn't even think about the 7' Xmas tree sitting in my reception area. LOL.
My MIL offered to drop off some things to our house this evening. "No, that's okay....I'll come by and grab it tomorrow", I replied. I just set up all the Xmas decor today. They know I celebrate holidays, and that I'm not df'd or da'd....but they haven't seen me in action. YET.

Zid has to say "goodbye"... For now...
by ziddina inmy computer-support service has checked my computer because it's been rather "glitchy" lately, and the hard drive is failing.... so, i'll end up being cut-off from the board, for a while.... some of you have my personal phone number, if you need to get in touch.... **********************************************************************.
here's something else that's been bothering me.... we're going to fly out to see the in-laws soon - and i'm very uneasy about flying.... if something should happen to me, could you people please help find good homes for my animals???
they are all indoors animals, have been spayed/neutered, and are pretty good with dogs.... there are six cats - the seventh one, minx, will have to be "put down", as she is slowly dying of feline leukemia, and is far too "high-maintenance" for anyone else to care for.... but there's chomper - a neutered male, six-toed cat, somewhat feral but ferociously loyal to anyone who will be patient with him - and feed him wet food... he's a big, short-haired grey-and-black tabby... unfortunately, in the process of the hard-drive decay, my computer no longer recognizes my crappy printer, and so i can't load a pix of chomper... but he's a big cutie!!.
