Interestingly, this tv show testimony AIW posted doesn't prove her points or answers the questions posed by Kim Norris.
AIW is always asking for first-hand accounts or proof but when presented with it, falls back on cut & paste gibberish for rebuttal.
its a "worldly" holiday and both my daughter and i are at home, not in service.
i got up, made us breakfast, (sausage and eggs) and now i'm playing on jw net.. on the downside, my wife and son are out in service and i have to sit down and put together my service groups time and turn that in to the secretary... (although my son didnt want to go.. he complained "cant we just have a chill day".. i was going to let him stay home but he changed his mind to go see a friend who said he was also going out...).

I was thinking this as well. For many dubs, the DF arrangement is a 'loving provision' from jehovah. Shunning is a hateful dictate practiced by false religion. They don't think that they are one in the same even though their new rule book and countless examples at the latest assemblies tell otherwise.
Most dubs are inconsistent in shunning with their DF family members.
this was brought up just in passing on another thread.
but i wanted to see if there are any bethelites or ex bethelites that remember some of the crazy rules we had to follow when we were there..

XYZ - why the fact that they also left, in some way validates my own leaving. I wonder if this validation of my decision to leave is in some way behind the desire I have to encourage others to leave as well. If so, I'm not sure if it's a good motive.
Though i'm fully convinced that the WTBS is fraud and am ready to stand alone when I break it to my family and friends, validation is certainly something for me to think about personally. I would think that most xdubs are looking for support rather than validation.
Thanks for posting these letters, the GB are truly the thought police. Thinking, speaking and acting contrary to GB teachings are what makes one an apostate according to the WT not just joining another religion.
