I would say that my opinion of the U.S. Government is both lower and higher now that I'm freed from the Collective. On the one hand, I feel more obliged to take part in politics, and I have greater appreciation of the struggle that lawmakers face in order to protect the country. On the other hand, the legal discrimination against gays and prohibition of marijuana really ticks me off. All in all, I'd say the Government seems more real to me than it did, in all of its facets.

I challenge all of you!
by Mr. Falcon ini've compiled my list of the 10 worst comedians ever.
jay leno - just a massively tired and unfunny tool who should be burned for what he did to conan especially.. talented opposite: conan o'brien or jimmy kimmel.. carrot top - somehow figured out how to make a career out of prop comedy.
i'll give him that much.. talented opposite: this is tough because prop comedy is deader than ghenkis khan.

After seeing all of his work up until about a year ago (I have a thing about being complete), I have to agree with you on Jeff Dunham... But I still LOVE Achmed the Dead Terrorist.
Oh, and I love Eddie Izzard, too.

New Way of Doing Field Service?
by snowbird inas i was driving to work this morning, i saw a familiar looking car a few yards ahead of me that kept making stops where people were standing alongside the roadway.. when i drove past the people, i noticed wt and awake!
in their hands.. well, lo and behold, this jw woman to whom i once referenced in the link below was "placing" literature with them!.

I prefer to think of witnessing at bus stops as "Forest Gump" witnessing. "My mama always said that life is a like a box of chocolates. Ya' never know what'cha gonna git. So here's a Watchtowa'"
Wouldn't stopping randomly in the middle of the street to talk to people be a safety hazard? I know they like finding ways to let the older witnesses get their time in, but really? [On a side note, my great-grandmother pioneers every month by writing letters. Lots and lots and lots of really long letters...]

(In other words, the math isn't even remotely close - as it assumes a constant population of 6 billion since the beginning of human existance...)
To be fair to whoever created that picture, you wouldn't even learn the math required to do that in college unless you are in a math, science, or technology field. Makes my head hurt just thinking about it. LoL. -

EDIT: Wow.. That site I linked to really stinks... Lets just leave it that I think whoever made that picture is a troll.

Am I mistaken or are these stupid mistakes on watchtower.org?
by WontLeave inam i the only one who notices a couple of problems with this?.
first of all, passover is on 15 nisan, not 14.. the sheep should prove to be sound, a male, a year old, for you.
you may pick from the young rams or from the goats.

I think that there is some disagreement over the exact order of events. I did a Google survey (because all the scriptures just confuse me...), and it seems there are opinions both ways within many different religions. I wouldn't consider that a stupid mistake to hold an opinion held by many people... Which is correct, I don't know. Personally, I think the accounts are flawed because the events never happened.
I'm interested in knowing more about the Nisan 14th/15th thing, though. Do you have a source?

You're all spoiled. Me and my gal have been sleeping together on a Twin for over a year. Not even a Twin XL... No... A Twin. My feet hang over the edge if I stretch out. And OH GOD the pain in the mornings.
EDIT: I've been corrected. We had a Twin XL and then later had to get a normal Twin... Maybe one day we'll finally get a Full.

A Rebel with a cause says hello new friends
by the_raisin ini just want to start by expressing gratitude toward all members of this forum.
i have been reading for the last month or so experiences and information that had not been available to me years ago when i was going through chronic depression and isolation.
i wish i could be more 'brave' and show some current little jws the way to this forum, but i am afraid of getting them in trouble :p we all know how sites like this are to them.. with that covered, first, a few things about me:.

Eh... There are a couple of us around. I'm only 23 and I think there's someone else 21 around here.
Oh, and homemade food is MUCH cheaper... Otherwise I would be having McDonalds right now.
