  In our family's case it was a simple question that prompted us to investigate and eventually see just how secretly corrupt the apostate Watchtower organisation is.

  Fortunately we weren't told anything specific or negative - just given the opportunity to eventually work it out and see it for ourselves.

  my friend was slagging off one of my other friends saying they have been known to say apotate things.

  she does apostate things herself without realising it.

  she meant well because she fears the word apostate as i once did, but she openly says to me my jc was lacking in holy spirit.. she doesn't have a clue what apostacy really is she just wants me not to mix with ones who have been known said "apostate things".

  texting her to see whats up with you and what your doing or saying etc.

  According to their own teaching you are the head of the house and all communication should be directed to and through you - no texting or phoning your wife, at least IMHO.

  TTATT family blow out

  for those of you who have a minute to read this, here is a report from my family trip.. i was in florida for the holidays visiting my older sister and family, along with my parents which were also visiting.. although i've had conversations with my mother about the organization, my sister and her family had no idea of my position in regards to the (un)truth - perhaps because we live far away from each other.

  i knew the day was coming.... on my second day there, the whole family was sitting around bs-ing about different stuff, and as usual my mother starts with the "world is getting worse by the day" conversation, followed by approving nods and smart remarks from the rest of the family.

  i then politely told them that this was not true, that in fact the world has never been better.

  What about making them do the hard yards instead next time?

  Get them to agree to answer some simple and well chosen questions - and then hold them to it - maybe guiding them to the relevant publication and page.

  quite simply, most jw's are scared as heck of ever reading information critical of the watchtower society.

  deep down they genuinly fear their 'faith' wouldn't stand it.. ignorance and resisting contrary information is the final defense for jw's.

  it is the fall-back position they mentally run to at the slightest bit of criticism.

  Why would a supremely powerful and wise being regard faith as a virtue?

  if i were the all-powerful creator of all the universe it would be a very easy thing to prove my existence, requirements and will in an indisputable and unambiguous way.

  everyone would know of my existence and requirements without them having to put forth effort to believe based on limited, ambiguous evidence that is highly subject to interpretation.

  i would regard faith as a harmful trait that makes one vulnerable to being deceived.

  Belief = faith is a lie.

  It was faith (not religion) that gave men like Martin Luther and Nelson Mandela to power to rise above their circumstances and do pioneering things most of us find highly counterintuitive.

  The embarrassing and awkward moments as well as Cognitive Dissonance came to an end soon after leaving the apostate Watchtower organisation. I am proudly exJW - a survivor of a corrupt doomsday cult.

  im saying,christ was talking about the comingdestruction of jerusalem in the 1st century and not the end of the world but the end of the jewish system of things.

  The GT and the big A are worthy topics IMHO.

  What I am sure about is that the apostate Watchtower organisation and hierarchy are totally blind to the spiritual dimensions involved.

  They are waiting for a singular physical event at a point in the future.

  It is quite likely not singular, not an event, not physical, and not in the future.

  Could the big A be the longstanding spiritual battle between religion and its nemesis the "unabridged gospel" (or full "Good News")?

  At any rate the Watchtower's poisonous fruits (stealing the faith and spirituality of millions, by severely truncating the gospel) prove it is on the side of the "god of religion", and not the "God of Abraham".
