"Youth book" said 97% of teenagers Masturbate...but none of them are Witnesses! Is this unrealistic?

"youth" book and "young people ask" admitts that 97% boys and 92% of girls masturbate but of course none of the holy decent witness teenagers would ever do such a thing and earn jehovahs anger!

how realistic is this?

well, i'd had extended family become jw and had the bible studies as a 7 yr old where i saw in the paradise book a pic of an old lady being turned to a pillar of salt...woohoo!! to be honest, in perth australia in the mid 80's, these ladies givin the study seemed so genuine, which i'm sure they were, but mum didnt like the 1914 thing....so we never became jw's (I LUV MY MUM!!)...but she did threaten to take us to the kingdom hall if we kids misbehaved...which did happen a few times if we were naughty,....but obviously.....one visit and we were perfect little angels to a single mum with 3 little terrors.

high school years.........hottest girl in school (and i mean HOTTEST!!!!) in fact i've never seen any gal match her beauty.....ohhh those eyes.....just happened 2 be a jw....and wait for it an ultra cool chick as well........nothing meaningful could ever happen as her faith prevented her from participating in what every other normal teen was doing.

After i left high school i was determined to become a jw......to win this gorgeous young womans' love......yes probably 4 the wrong reasons but it seemed so right at the time.

oh sorry, got sidetracked in my pathetic nostalgia. I never gave junior any attention for 2.5 yrs while i contemplated joining pappa russells' cult......so sad, especially at an age when well, the little fella really needed me! In a perverse way i'm sorta proud that i could go that long!!

if the fig tree is symbolic, feeding the multitude of ppl with fish and bread (spiritually that is), walkin on water etc is all symbolic.......does that make Jesus a symbolic creation??

The tree of knowledge of good and bad, the fig tree.....well.....God dont like trees!!! neither should he, after all they worshipped Asherah in them groves. Dont worship the consort!!

Will the Society Ever Print Another Evolution Verse Creation Book?

i think if they do they will have to make many revisions now that information is so prevalent on the internet.

and with all that is known about dna and how it proves darwin was right i don't see how they could.

but i guess you can never put nothing past the wt and it's crack smoking writers to dig up something ridiculous to blur the lines of reality for the friends, for sure its got to be way harder to write such a book today and keep a straight face..

The Watchtowers' earlier hardcover books were mass produced for a book reading population, although comparatively expensive with todays versions to produce, still maintained a high degree of quality (considering they are some basically small unknown religious group). And yes, the books they produce will get cheaper and the quality will go down (probably 99% paperbacks, on thinner paper)... Western society is slowly moving from a book based culture to an electronic one......evolution happening within our lifetime!!!

Its beautiful in a, I suppose, sick way to observe the watchtower evolve with the passing years......evolution is about survival and they're doing alright in that regard. They are the masters of adaptation!!

Its never been stated more succintly than Timothy Leary.......'Your Brain Is God'. and for that matter so is the devil. God is whatever YOUR brain desires him/her to be or not to be. Our brain has created gods and devils and an awesome imagination!

Good behaviour and bad behaviour, sadness and happiness, hostility and forgiveness are opposite traits though all are a part of being human.

If people want to believe that an ancient middle eastern national god of Israel controls the fate of the world, well then good luck to you I say!

Personally, I think it speaks volumes about our species that we can justify silence from a 'creator' we've never seen but only read about in the pages of ancient manuscripts from the Levant!

Millionaire JW's....who happen to be fraudsters!!

not sure if any of you have heard about an australian company called firepower which was run by a man named tim johnston.

he basically started a company selling a miracle fuel pill that never actually worked while he collected millions of dollars, bought properties in many countries, antiques, paintings and jet setted around the world with his family.

investors have lost plenty of money and in some cases their life savings.

Not sure if any of you have heard about an Australian company called firepower which was run by a man named Tim Johnston. He basically started a company selling a miracle fuel pill that never actually worked while he collected millions of dollars, bought properties in many countries, antiques, paintings and jet setted around the world with his family. Investors have lost plenty of money and in some cases their life savings. Investor losses are estimated to be 100 million. He is currently banned from leaving Australia as investigations are under way.

His 2 daughters have been called the Hilton sisters of Perth (but better looking!) which prompted a negative comment from Paris Hilton herself.

A book has already been published titled "The most spectacular fraud in Australian history".

He was born into a Catholic family but he and his wife are currently JW's (not sure about the daughters).........for how long I dont know. It must be embarrassing for the local JW community here in Perth to see articles about this fraud with the witnesses mentioned.

I think it provides something the GB needs quite a bit of.........distraction.........distraction from the still to be end of the world. If I were to put myself in the GB's position, I would be acutely aware that the followers need something new to keep them occupied. The GB is the equivalent of a bunch of ppl who proclaim that a feast is almost ready to eat to a large crowd of hungry ppl.......but who actually don't have any food to give them!!! Hunger causes impatience and without any promised food, I'd personally go elsewhere for a feed.

Learning new songs should keep followers busy for quite some time!

yes, any and all religions have less than savory members, though a religion that shamelessly uses the premise that they were chosen by God alone ultimately sets themselves up for painful disappointment. The man in this case must surely be psychopathic. To knock on ones doors with the air of righteousness and the high moral ground while continuously partaking of an act that goes against everything the word christian should stand for is beyond bizarre. Okay, well, God did approve men taking young virgins,raping them against their will and making them their wives....but that was the old testament.

hi, there! I used to have a couple with the last name Sandilands drop in on Sat mornings back in the mid 90's in the northern suburbs. They used to live in NSW i believe. seriously misguided, but yet, they seemed genuinely nice. The husband used to watch the cricket at our house while his wife did the speil.

I'm also curious to know if anyone remembers an old lady by the name of Eunice and a woman who went by the name of sister Cox in the Bayswater area.......circa mid 80's!!
