Thanks to everyone for your encouraging words. And to Piercingtheveil81: It's not so much that I'm nervous about someone finding the book in my possession, although that would be a problem, it's that I'm kind of nervous of entering a new chapter in my life. And I'm still active, of course, not as much as I used to be. And yes, it already is strange being around those at the hall. And the way they talk is foreign to me now. For example, this one older sister is having one problem after another, mainly health problems. I started counting and sure enough, someone said the old explanation, "well, that's how Satan works." And now everyone is planning on having singing-a-long parties to learn the new songs in the new song book. I'm just thinking of what excuses I can come up with that will spare me from it all. And I even have a talk in the ministry school coming up. And, of course, I'm not into it. I've decided to keep mum about my feelings pretty much to anyone. I just don't want any drama, especially since I haven't figured it all out yet. And finally, I'm never going to believe the trinity. I don't think I want to be a part of another organized religion if I definitely leave the organization. I don't know if I could go the whole atheist route as some have chosen, but, to each his own.

Well, I just ordered "Crisis of Conscience". I'm kind of nervous about actually buying and reading it. This life is all I've ever known, it's my whole identity really. And I'm kind of sad that there is no turning back.

lisa, what's your cats name?

Newborn, that's a nice-looking cat. And it's probably best she is an indoor cat. I wouldn't feel bad about that if I were you. Cats can find something to explore no matter if they go outside or strictly stay in.

About 20 years ago, a Circuit Overseer gave a talk one Thursday night on sex demons. It was really strange. I still to this day do not understand what the purpose of that talk was.

How many of you knew about the"Jesus is not your Mediator" teaching when you were JWs??
by Lady Liberty inhi everyone.... just curious how many of you knew when you were active, about the societys official teaching regarding jesus the mediator.
i was floored to find in my research, that they teach jesus is the mediator for the 144,000 only.
and it is only by our association with them that we might have salvation.. i don't know about you guys but i was blown away when i learned they taught this.

I was born in and still active. Most of us always thought that Jesus was our mediator until I remember studying at a Watchtower or bookstudy that the New Covenant was only between Jesus and the annointed. And I accepted it, because it was explained that the other sheep benefit from the arrangement by association with the annointed.

Dissolved Congregation
by dudeson ini heard recently that 1 of the 4 congregations in our relatively small area has been "dissolved" and relocating many of them to the hall i used to attend.
it must be due to the low numbers these days.
our average sunday meeting attendance when i left was around 75.. does this seem to be a growing trend recently?.

In my area it is happening. One reason is there are just so many problems in the congregations. And one hall may have 18 elders and another only 3 or 4 so they merge. I heard at least 4 congregations are merging in my circuit alone, because of too many problems. And they're asking elders and servants to go help out at other halls. We lost a lot of MS to other halls that needed help.

Sisters crying in the kitchen/lobby
by highdose inyears ago i was at the revamp of a kingdom hall.
one of the sisters told me that since they got rid of the kitchen it was so much better, becuase there were always sisters out there crying!
and now they have no place to go, so they just have to stay in the hall and listen to the meeting!.

Guilty, I used to be one of the criers. I promise I didn't do it on purpose. And sometimes, I didn't know what I was crying about. But, I wasn't the only one. We have a lot at our hall that cry during their comments, because they get so emotional.

Hair coloring - Is It For Christians?
suggested presentation-Hello, we were talking to our neighbors about an issue that effects all of our lives in one way or another. Many people today color their hair. How do you feel about that? Do you think it's something that would be appoved by God? Allow for response. Well, there is a principle here at 1 Timothy 2:9 explain: Now, this scripture is speaking of women, but the principle applies to men too, now would using harmful chemicals on our body really be using "soundness of mind?"Well, this article in the latest Awake answers this and many other questions regarding hair coloring which is so prevalent today. I'm sure you'll find this article of interest. And if I may, I'd like to stop back and see what you thought of that article. And show you from the Bible how the need for hair coloring will soon be a thing of the past.
