Don't worry, you're not the only one that happened too. I remember a brother had the Bible highlights and he did the same thing throughout his entire part, saying orgasm, instead of, organism. He didn't even realize until it was over and sat down to a wife and daughter in stifling hysterics. Boy, was he red.

If You Leave The Organization Where Else Must You Go?
by minimus init seems the watchtower leaders believe that if you were to think about leaving the organization (and listen to "apostates") that you must have a place to go in return.
they feel you must have something, if you were to not accept the organization.
you need hope and belief in something.

I always thought that there was nowhere else to go. But, just today I was having a rather emotional conversation with someone, and I told them, what's wrong with just living my life in my quiet kind of way, and finding things that make me happy along the way. For the longest time, I thought it was this world that is making me miserable, but, now, I'm starting to think, it's all the rules and sacrifices that I've made for the organization. I'm 36 years old and still feel like I have to have an answer or an excuse for every choice I make. I just want to start my life and be left alone really. I don't have to go anywhere, but find my own path.

What do you get when you cross an agnostic with a Jehovah's Witness?
Someone who goes door-to-door, but doesn't know why.

J.W.'s and swine flu question
by hubert inmy daughter told me that she refused the swine flu vaccine, even though she is in a risk category and could receive it.. since we know that the watchtower society banned small pox vaccinations for years when it first became available, i am curious to know if the watchtower society is doing this again, with the swine flu vaccine.. has anyone heard of this happening now?
's being discouraged into getting the swine flu vaccine by orders of the w.t.
society?.

There is no ban on flu shots among the Witnesses, just a local needs part on taking extra precautions during flu season, and to stay home when one is sick.

I'm still trying to figure things out here. But,I do have a question for those that started college many years after high school. How did you make the transition? I mean, I never even bothered taking college prep courses in school, because I didn't think I would ever consider going to college. I haven't been in school for 18 years now. Wow, aging myself. But, I've been in a rut long enough and need to make some changes. I think it best if I start with a class or two at community college or take a course on-line, less intimidating. Any suggestions?

In the states, we are told to NOT go where this is a No Trespassing sign. And if we ignore it, we are responsible. And some publishers forget to write down do not calls, which I hate. Or they forget to tell the rest of the car group the do not calls on the street they are working.

Well, I only did phone witnessing a couple of times. It was okay once I got into it. But, I don't plan on ever doing it again. I prefer writing to not-at-homes. And I still do door-to-door. But, my favorite is just going with others on their return visits.

Well, if I remember correctly, Gary Neal's sister-in-law was never baptized, so none of the rules for disfellowshipped relatives apply here. I was born in, I know how to work around things. If they want to help out their daughter, it's family business and everyone else can mind their own business. But, I don't know the other side, maybe your sister-in-law's course of life is draining on them. And for their own emotional health they keep their distance. There are two sides to the story. But, I don't see any reason to punish their future grandchild.
