  hi need some help with the teachings regarding the 4type horsemen and the virus.

  i'm 17 going to be 18 in six months.

  i am a running start student and trying to find the best way to move out after i graduate next year to continue.

  Calm down...play games...study something new and different and think positive happy thoughts. The religion is based on negativity, fear and manipulation. It has to be difficult when that is all you are surrounded by...but if you immerse your brain in other things you can keep your sanity!! Good luck!!

  today’s watchtower article was the ultimate cya.

  for friggin’ decades all we heard was that as armageddon gets nearer and nearer, the number of the ‘great crowd’ will increase and the number of the “little flock” will decrease!

  in fact, it was one of the proofs that the end was near!.

  Remember the Revelation book?

  i recall when it was released ,that's when i was a drone, how excited i felt at the prospect of reading it and formulating ways to sell it at the homes in my area.. i thought, finally a book to explain the last book in the bible and indeed one that the churches seemed to want to leave alone!.

  i sold quite a few probably because of my enthusiasm and can still remember clearly the first day when i went knocking on doors with it ,and it's been decades since.. but over time it lost it's shine and my mind started to question the explanations in it due to the scene of other things being changed in the jw beliefs.. do you remember they flogged that book so many times in the book studies even when it was found to have "newer light " eclipsing it!.

  who else remembers the printed pages with the official corrections to insert into the book ,so many that the book collapsed to be of no relevance anymore really.....what an embarrassment!.

  The Babylon book....I actually liked that one....it had some history that made it more than the usual pablum....then is finished the mystery of God one not so hot but okay...anyone remember that lime green Daniel book? But...that revelation book and its applications were pretty hard to digest. The conventions mentioned earlier....the one that got me was those dead bones fleshing up and coming to live...the imprisoned holy ones in WWI....get released and go apreachin......and yes.....repeat book study of it as nauseum...

  I remember that creation book too.... Systematically skipping that book study because I couldn't stand that book.

  i was raised in this sect, 1st gen. was isolated from any family.

  had suicidal attempts because of this sect.

  family as always instead of being a backbone of support, victim blamed.

  Legal Concerns About "Zoom" Meetings!

  this whole "zoom" thing has got me wondering whether some of it is legal or not.

  if a person has to dress up for a zoom meeting the way the watchtower dictates, doesn't this really go "beyond" cult?.

  even the cults who committed mass suicide were able to dress the way they wanted for their meetings.

  So...in order to be a dub these days one has to be totally computer savvy, and have all the hardware, software, applications, etc....what about the old ones who aren't tech wise?

  Does this zoom thing come with a price other than privacy invasion and it's possible ramifications?

  As for the dressing up bit, that's just crazy. Suppose you have the virus and are sick in bed in your nightshirt....and you want some entertainment in your misery so you plug on.....you going to be harassed for no knee length skirt and turtleneck? Or suit and tie?

  Coronavirus Positive

  hey all,.

  i'm day six of isolation, confirmed to have coronavirus.

  i have been seeing very sick cv positive patients over the last month in my a&e role (emergency physician) it was inevitable i would contract it.. just wanted to give some symptom and treatment advice, it's anecdotal but may help.. started as sore throat and headache, then croaky voice, then dry cough, then episodic transient fevers, all this over the first few days.

  Thank you so much for posting this. I personally am appalled that there are people actually believing this is a political plot (USA), then I know of those in denial that it is no big deal, just another flu..... It is a big deal and the containment is dependent on individual discretion.

  The current administration is driven by corporate greed. There is no concern for the average citizen, the ones who work to support themselves and their families and who are systematically raped by pharmaceuticals, ridiculous health insurance premiums and escalating consumer costs.

  The response to the pandemic has been slow and the CDC has been facing hurdles stymying their efforts.

  Liberal means live and let live...respect the lives of others. Treat people with dignity and allow them their freedom to live the best life they can. It has nothing to do with stupidity or ignorance. Social programs should be there to protect the disenfranchised...and we all should be concerned with the ecology and ensuring a safe healthy environment now and future. And women's health issues are a personal matter...not political.

  About the Memorial and Unleavened Bread Thing..

  unleavened bread has no yeast in it.

  and yeast is a symbol of sin, right?

  not good for symbolising whatever it's supposed to symbolise, obviously.. so my beloved missus, who i believe is possibly the best cook in the world (although i do have a soft spot for chef nigella lawson with those magnificent knockers and all) is an absolute ace at baking sourdough bread.. and yes, sourdough bread - especially when toasted - is absolutely yummy.
