  There's this girl...

  quick back-story: i'm pretty young...old enough to go to war but too young to buy a beer (if i were in the states..maybe i am maybe i'm not...) compredo?

  so i've had allot of doubts, but figured it was a fault in myself until my best friend left a year ago and has since been labeled apostate.

  i've never shunned him, in fact, i still see him a few times a month in secret.

  noonehome - keep at it - do the college thing - take it to the limit. and believe in your own brain and strength and ability to overcome it all. you can do or be anything you want to be...just put your mind to it - and be a little patient even though when young that is like next to impossible!!!!!

  You are very young and you are sensitive too. Don't worry about the next guy (or girl) - just be you. And if you are not 100% with the organization, figure out how and what you want to do about it. Take it easy and THINK. Get educated and get yourself in a position where you are completely independent - you will learn who and what you are - and you will be able to make decisions that will make you happy and bring you satisfaction in the long run.

  i'm not really up on this legal stuff - but are they just stalling hoping it will all miraculously disappear? whatever.........i am very pleased that in at least one case justice has been served to date. let them pay up - candace conti is only one of far too many.

  Who of you ever lied on your field service reports?

  i've read a few people mention making up the figures for the field service reports, and i want to find out how common it is.

  i never lied on my report.

  sometimes i'd round up 15 minutes if i'd mentioned jw stuff to my brother that month, but that wasn't falsifying.

  okay - i only read the question - i am not reading the comments. all i have to say - is there anyone out there in all honesty who can stand by in a court of law and avow their reports are/were completely intricately accurate?????????????

  it's varying levels of fudging, and a few realists who bring the numbers down. bs, in other words. i personally wish i had gone with my brain a lot sooner and eschewed that stupid little paper. meaningless...just meaningless...all just a ploy to make people feel good about themselves or better than the next dude and then they don't want kids playing sports because they might get to feeling competitive????? hheeeeellllllooooooooooooo idiots.

  I called the police.

  i stay at my grandmother's house and pay a little rent to her (r500) as it is all i can afford.

  i do however buy and take care of all my own food, washing etc.. this morning at 6 am, my bedroom door opend, slammed shut, heard the key turn a couple of times, open and slam shut again.

  i woke up with a fright as that has never happened....first thought is someone is in the house.

  first - you are a real trooper and survivor loubelle! i wish i could just whisk you into a better place...i have no idea where you are, but it sounds piscatorious.....i wish you a strong heart and strength. get as much education and job experience as you can - and rise above it all - you have it in you. dream a dream and make it happen. i know that sounds very silly in a way, but seriously - go for it.... don't get mired down in local usual sh!t..........move outward and onward................:) hugs............:)

  do not look for excuses to associate with a disfellowshipped family member, for example, through e-mail.

  in the congregation i attend, no one--and i mean no one--commented on the directive to not communicate with df'd family members by email.

  they are legally considered a not-for-profit, and as such main funding comes from voluntary donations.........same as any other church or charitable foundation. only problem is that we are onto the inner workings are are pretty cynical about how/where the funds actually use or go. and the % of dollars that have to be funneled into litigation and settlements should have a realistic cap...but who knows. plus all the real estate holdings and money in tax havens - there are so many things that are okay and legitimate, but really basically unethical. and one would hope that religious organizations would hold to the highest ethical standard, but unfortunately they rank at the bottom of that barrel.
