very sad - and there is no way anyone will know what was going on in their minds that led to it....whatever religion or life someone lives .....this is a very tragic ending..........

if they find you so despicable why are they trying to communicate with you?
i think silent lambs is a wonderful thing - too many have been mistreated, abused, and damaged because the religion condones it. justice includes giving the silent lambs a platform from which to speak, which in turn can help them in the healing process.
as for a woman's place - don't get me even started on that one.

Long long ago in a different life I had a day dream to go to BEthel and meet and marry a wonderful Bethelite. I was an utter failure at pioneering and only made it through 9 months before I quit....or was threatened that I should because I didn't have the prerequisite 7 Bible studies. So we had a CO staying at our house and I spoke with him about it - and I was informed that I was too pretty and would be too distracting to the Bethelites so would never be accepted. poof - my dreams up in smoke.
Good thing - I wouldn't have lasted a week there knowing what I know now....but then I was a crazy infected kid back then trying to be the image of perfection.

You can now get into debt using credit cards to donation to the JW's
by life is to short ini knew this was coming but to actually see it was another thing.. i am a huge dave ramsey follower where he hates debt and charging on credit cards.
he totally feels everyone should be out of debt and pay cash only.
that everyone needs to do plastic plastic surgery to cut up their credit cards.

by Scully inwe all know that the doctrine and dogma of the wts is completely false, so i'm not even going to include topics like "trinity" or "gehenna" or anything like that in my personal list.. but i'd like to see what other people list as their top five most harmful jw teachings.. #5. females in the congregation are inferior to males.. #4. you must override your personal conscience in favour of wts rules, even when you know it's wrong.. #3. shunning disfellowshippedtm and disassociatedtm individuals, without being allowed to form your own opinion or hear their side of the story, even when it is a family member or close friend, this teaching destroys families and results in far too many people taking their own lives from the agony of being rejected by the only people they have ever had relationships with.. #2. forsaking higher education, well-paid employment and planning for retirement.. #1. the no-blood rule has cost more lives since it was first introduced by rutherford than jonestown, 10 times over..

I personally abhor the fact that they willinlg hide and protect deviates - predators, pedophiles.
Restricting educational opportunties and personality development, self-esteem, and an understanding and appreciation of one's role in society is reprehensible.
