  i thought i'd introduce myself, i haven't been to the faux-truth in about 6 years now so i'm merely a small child to the 'real world.

  ' i grew up in said religion and attended two english speaking congregations and lastly a sign language congregation in britain.

  i think this gives away my identity to some friends i have on here ;).

  How Did You Discover JWD/JWN ?

  i always read h2o, randy's site and anything that might stay current.

  i think it was h2o that said they were closing there but another site was opening and it was this one.. i'm curious how you got to find this place..

  just supposing that you belive in it... i used to always wonder, how on earth are we going to get from one country to the other?

  i mean old type ships used to take months to get around!

  "The Nations Shall Know that I am Jehovah" - How? (1971)

  The unburied dead, "those slain by Jehovah," will be so enormously many that even the carrion birds and scavenging wild beasts could never take care of their consumption. The burial of even what remains after these lower creatures have their fill would be stupendous. Doubtless the Almighty God will use some highly scientific means, whether including antimatter or not, to dispose of the surplus of decaying bodies in a speedy and sanitary way. This remains for the survivors of the "war of the great day" to see and witness.

  As A Witness Did You Typically Feel Guilty?

  i believe the way the organization keeps many people in its clutches is by means of guilt.

  no one can adhere to all of the theocratic rules of the organization and they know that.

  i believe jws do things to ease their consciences.

  Yep. The guilt was always there. God's "undeserved kindness" was a constant reminder. I am finding that it is VERY difficult to break free from the feelings of guilt.

  The thought has occurred to me that if the WTS wasn't so bent on being "RIGHT", that maybe more people would forgive them for the times that they are wrong. We were conditioned to feel that we had the Truth About Everything, and so when we discovered that we didn't, some of us weren't willing to overlook it - per our conditioning.

  is there a way of saying tactfully to my superdub family that we do not want anniversary presents this year ?.

  our 39th is on saturday the 12th and my wife says that as the family only have the minimum to do with us since our fade she feels it is the height of hypocrisy to buy us presents.. she also does not like my super-smug sister (who does ?

  ) who will come to our place bearing gifts we do not want from persons who will not entertain our point of view.. i cannot think of away that is kind, to get out of this, heeelllpppppp !!!!!!!!!!.

  You know this reminds me a little bit of some witness friends I knew who would receive xmas gifts from family and send them back unopened, and then demand that no more xmas gifts be sent EVER. I remember thinking, why make a scene? It's free stuff!
