I have no problem simply telling him that "he is free" once i move on, I will never go into any details. even though i dont agree with all their rules I still wouldnt want to be as anal as they are . He told me I dont have to give details as Chapter stated above,he just doesnt want to be alone.

@ New Chapter... I like your post and sorry you had to deal with that, and just to let you know.... I agree with what you are saying. I dont have a problem letting him know that he is free because i dont hold any harsh feelings for him and dont want him to be alone.
@ other poster... it did cross my mind that since they preach about Arm. being so close, then why is he so pressed about remmarrying?? maybe he doesn't really believe that it's close??

WOW! I refused to keep doing what you are doing because we(non JW's) always get the short end of the stick.
You are strong for finally thinking of yourself and stopping the compromising because they will not think twice about compromising with you. I havent even been married 3 yrs to my JW hubs and I couldnt take it anymore. I can admit i feel so much better, free and happy now that I dont have to deal with the judgmental ways of the JW's. They expect you to compromise cause it's the "troof" but they will not do the same.... You are not selfish or unreasonable... you are a human being who is getting fed up with BS.

Hey guys! I've been here a while, posted a few topics about me and my Witness hubs. Well i finally through in the towel and filed for a divorce. i'm not gonna go into detail but all I can say for anyone dating or considering marrying a Witness, (especially a born in Witness with devout family and friends) DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!! A DIVIDED HOUSEHOLD WILL NOT STAND!!!!!!!!!!!
I posted this because my hubs and his mom is hounding me about me cheating or comminting fornication so he can remarry because they can't accept that I dont wannt be married to a judgemental Witness.
He tells me to confess or if I do have sex with someone in the future to let him or his mom know because he would be commiting a sin by remarrying without the marraige bond being broken(fornication). So i asked him.."what If I do have sex with someone in the future and never tell you?? Does your happiness lay in the power of my hands? Why do i have to let you know via text or call?? Isnt their a way that God can send you some kind of sign??" He says, "no God doesn't , I have to depend on you to tell me", so I asked, "well what if I decide that I dont want to give you that info and your single for the remaining years of your life?" He said that Jehovah will deal with me. I just want to know, where is there a scripture in the Bible that says that an exwife or exhub has to inform one another if they've had sex with someone new (after the divorce)??

What prayers does God answer?
by jwfacts ini have always struggled to understand what prayers god answers and which ones he avoids.
most religions teach that god answers prayers, so people must feel that their prayers are being answered, yet the type of prayers seem to be very selective.. .
if god answered broad based prayers, then children in third world countries would not be starving, so he does not seem to interfere in global issues.

OMG PCSacramento... beautiful post! That is exactly how I feel.
It's tripped out.. My hubby is a zealous Witness and has been unemployed for almost a year.. he prays everyday for work and guess what? Nothing. I want to ask him so bad, why is God not answering his prayer? Does God not want a man to provide for his family? I just don't understand.

No privileges but working on new building project?
by juci32 inmy hubby and his fellow wt crew are building a new hall and he is working several days a week for the next few months picking up steel, security etc.... thats fine and dandy if thats what you wanna do but, he doesn't have any privileges in the hall and he's been reaching out for months but they keep telling him to wait.
what i don't understand is.... if they won't grant him any privileges in the cong., then why is he "privileged" to work on a building project?
also, why in the world are they building halls when the end is so imminent?
