i just don't understand.
i was raised a jw, believed the whole line of bullshit, hook, line, and sinker.
after leaving i still believed in the bible.
What boggles my mind is that there is nothing logical about evolution. As Buckminster Fuller noted, "Evolution is impossible because chromosomes would be missing. So you can't take two monkeys and come up with a human, but you can go the other way and take two humans and come up with something pretty close to monkey. There are a lot of people like that." And here we are on this little speck of nothing, in the middle of nowhere, like a grain of sand in the ocean.
And we are all dying.
i noticed the complete abscence of any reference to the great crowd in recent watchtower magazines.. the latest jan 15 2010 wt now calls the "other sheep" rank and file witnesses the ......"growing crowd" i think you'll find that on the last page of that wt.
has the interpretation of the "great crowd" changed again?
it seems the anointed class has now stolen both the titles "generation" and "great crowd" any thoughts on this?.

(Dec. 8) -- Firefighters transported a woman from Tiger Woods' Florida home early Tuesday morning, MSNBC reported.

The fire department received a call at 2:36 a.m., WESH, an Orlando TV station, reported. Footage obtained by the station appeared to show a woman on a stretcher, but Orange County Fire officials did not disclose more information, MSNBC said.
It's the second time in a matter of weeks that authorities have rushed to Woods' home.
On Nov. 27, Woods had a minor car accident just outside his home. Woods said his wife, Elin Nordegren, broke his SUV's windows with a golf club to rescue him, but the incident lead to speculation about a possible dispute between the couple. Woods has denied that.
Last week, the golfer admitted in a statement on his Web site to "transgressions" that he said he regrets.

Here are the lessons for this final regular-season weekend of college football 2009.
Lesson 1: This is SO frustrating. But we learned that the BCS could actually reach an all-new low.
it seems that more is required of disfellowshipped people who are trying to be reinstated than witnesses who are in good standing.. for example, i often hear that a disfellowshipped person must have a good record of meeting attendance before being considered for reinstatement.
if they are not regular in attendance their request for reinstatement will be denied.
but, witnesses in good standing are not disciplined or punished in any way for missing meetings.. and what if the disfellowshipped person is known to be socializing with coworkers or dating a worldly person?
It's just pure cruelty. I know a PO's daughter who was reinstated after 6 months and I hardly ever saw her at a meeting.
given that i'm very sensitive emotionally, i tend to avoid mentioning my personal life here if possible, preferring to stick to evaluation of watchtower publications and doctrine, particularly the newest material i can get my hands on.
but i felt it was time to talk again.
i hope at least some of you will be gentle.. i'm married now.
