El
Although not as common as Elohim (see below), this is another standard Hebrew term for “god” used for any god (with a small g) as well as for Israel’s monotheistic “God,” with a capital G—as in, “I am God [El] and there is no other” (Isaiah 45:22). The Canaanite high god was also called El, and the Hebrews may have given this deity’s name to their own god.
El Elohê Yisra’el

El Elyon; Elyon

Given that all the apostles were Jewish, does it mean that
they all converted to a new religion that began by mispronouncing divine names?

by koolaid-man inthe largest schism in watchtower history involved the bible students in the 20's and 30's.
it was not so much that bible students "opposed" the work of the society, the issue was the bible students and the society were no longer in harmony doctrinally, the 3,000 or so who "dropped" out by 1918, eventually grew in the coming years, by 1930 seventy-five percent of the original bible students had abandoned the society.
the bible students or "the evil slave" as the jehovah's witnesses refer to them as, are now coming back to haunt the org.

I well remember when Arnold Palmer lost it. It was at the 1964 US Open when they still played 36 holes on Saturday. He had won the Masters and opened with 68-69 - when 280 always won the Open - and finished 74-75. He never won anything of consequence after that that I can remember. He was 34 at the time. But he will always be da King, because he had class. Woods will never be thought of in such terms. From his website :

Tiger was a player who used to thrive on pressure but right now he can't even figure out which putter to use. Best thing for Tiger to do is retire and retain a "little" dignity instead of becoming the Mike Tyson of golf."
