  i have been searching pro and anti arguments for trinity, and found out there are anti-trinitarians who believe jesus did not preexist before his human life.

  and i am thinking, it kind of makes sense.

  what if yahweh created a second adam.

  Cofty...did you some folks still have gill marks, just on the top of their ears...we are the men from Atlantis!! So...wasnt jesus mum Mary?In which hes only half perfect. If not, if he was 'begotten' somehow just transferred into marys womb (ie shes a surrogate)in was sense does that vindigate jahs sovereignty as jesus is not a man, so no man has remained perfectly loyal (hes an angel..its cheating).Reckon judas is the real sacrifice as someone had to do it..and be damned.Of course all this is just Babylonian as the man Coffy said.

  To Blue Dot or Not to Blue Dot. That is the question ....

  so i've been noticing recently that some khs in the area where i live (socal) are putting up the jw.org little blue dot, but others are not.

  i would think this would be a mandatory directive from hq.

  does anyone here have any intel on the matter?.

  What if JWs Viewed Disfellowshipping and Excommunication as Radical Islamists Do?

  i found this statement from a recent article about isis to be quite interesting in view of the way that any jw can be accused of apostasy with little or no possible repercussions or consequences for the accuser: .

  Accusing someone of apostocy is encouraged. I think jw are real passive agressives, ESP. rank and file...the little old ladies who virtually dance in GLEE at the thought of all the people dying horribly at armaggedon. The way they relish stating that you would be stoned for your crimes in Isreal (which according to the rabbis was a rare thing...after all, execution involved the taking of a jewish life (see violias wiki link above). Worse of all the more recent westboro /redneck christian fundamentalist style talks given at assemblies on the subject of Jehovahs long awaited return to form....a good old fashioned kill fest, with a starring role for 'the birds' ..shades of alfred hichcock etc. Not to mention those delightfully illustrated childrens books...saw the teacher book again recently HOW inappropriate are those f#*@#ing books for kids!!!Anger Anger Anger!!Hate Hate Hate for all the scoffers!BURIED RAGE!!(etc etc goes off into the moonlight foaming at the mouth...)

  It seems money can buy you anything in the US, inc. a phd. I will grant in blighty a prince of the realm can get into cambridge as an undergrad with a bunch of c grades, but thats as easy a ride as you can get, and as I say...you gotta wave a crown for a swerve like that. If we start shunning you will you ask to come back ? We will even teach you how to play cricket and real football.

  If you were put in charge of the Governing Body tomorrow...

  if you were somehow magically put in-charge of the governing body tomorrow, by jesus, with the rules being, you could not teach anything that would be considered outright apostasy and you could not teach anything that would be considered to cause doubt about god's existence... (so as not to arouse suspicion).

  what "new light" or "clarified understandings" would you introduce first?.

  and which later on?.

  Following Jesus's example............. the GB down to the local Elders & MS would wash the feet of their congregations as many times a year as necessary until they understood that they are servants not overseers. LOVE IT!!!

  If the GB came up with the 144,000 doctored-trine now it WOULD be men only. This explains why the fds is no longer the remnant but only the GB - otherwise why not have women on the GB if they are fds, there would be no reason (1st century women, ct Russels wife was on the board of directors AND he willed 5 women as trustees to watch out for any monkey business from the men willed to take over after his demise). Thoughts ...(1) always wondered why all the anointed I knew where women. (2)Why have WTBS removed removed from the bible ONLY ?3/4th century additions to the bible that fit in with their doctrine ie the "Johnnanine comma" 1 john 5:7 the famous trinity bit in John and the adultress story in john 8 but not the bit about women not speaking in church 1 corinthians 13.34 which they just as sure is a late addition to scripture

  Bang on iwasblind ....all the scriptures so out of context..as you say nothing wrong with looking up scripture together. Its worth reading up on some biblical/jewish/new testament history too to get some real context. I keep saying it but Jeruselem by Simon Sebag Montefiore is a great read AND sheds a lot of light onto why the bible writers wrote what they did...everyone has an angle. Read a little higher criticism too, ARM yourself with REAL KNOWLEDGE , knowledge =power which is why the WTBS want to keep folks ignorant.
