Not existential struggle
or fat thumb struggle
just plain can't do it struggle
let's be clear: people have the right to like or dislike what they want - that is why the option is there.
as long as they are not doing it in a malicious way to retaliate or game the system, there is no policing the votes.
if you get a down-vote, live with it.

had an enlightening discussion with my 20 something, baptised, awake son.
he said he feels abandoned by the religion, and yet trapped at the same time.
i had never thought about it that way before, but can totally understand where he is coming from.
You sound like a lovely mum, actually a lovely couple. I always stress about my kids getting shunned by grandparents etc As much as it destroys me that my mother shuns Me, people always tell me that, as much as I worry for my kids, of course it doesn't affect them so much because they are a generation apart, and we are their buffet from "the outrageous fortune of life's slings and arrows ( and shunners)" - as you are your sons.
What I'm saying is although it's a difficult journey for him, no doubt about that, you cannot do more than you are in helping him steer a course. Even worrying about others like him! On a practical side note getting him involved in helping others makes outside connections/friendships and takes the focus off his own worries! Maybe something like volunteering for a cult hotline or similar that takes his own negative experience and moulds it into something positive( may help with the finding an empathetic mate bit too!).
i just read a thread somewhere on here that someone has been accepted to bethel service along with his wife.
his wife has, of course, been assigned to work in the laundry room.
which compels me to write this little post.. now, i dont consider myself a "feminist" as such, but i definitely believe in equality.
<If there is a God, i really, REALLY hope it's female. I'd love people to float up to Her presence and go "...oh...............">
PRICELESS! Love to see the GBs faces!
(Saename's Spanx wearing goddess ....even better!)
just sitting through this week's wt study and just spent 5 minutes listening to multiple answers where people are convinced that jehovah made humans from clay, literally forming adam like a sculpture then breathing life into him.. it's embarrassing to think i basically thought the same....
It's funny how the smart ones will always add " but we have all the minerals etc that you find in the soil in us!". Yeah... more going all round the houses in order to make these Stone Age stories make sense!
PS auto cue lol!
hi everyone, a really nice regular contributor to our ex jw reddit community has begun a website to support those leaving or thinking of leaving jw.org called https://leavingjw.org it's main content is exit stories ( which we all love!
it's a worthy cause so if you feel so inclined do contribute your stories - you can still be physically " in" - and there is also a questionnaire style story if you don't have time/feel inclined to write the whole thing out.. like simon these guys set up exjw websites in their own time and using their own money for our communities benefit.
we recently lost one recovery website so do let's support this new one.

edit: you can do it anonymously of course!
genuine picture from a convention in holland.
what will tony say?!.
.
Oh I l❤️Ve the Dutch! Greatest people in the world!
hello brothers and sisters and truth seekers,.
i am an active jehovah's witness.
i don't believe in 1914 and i'm tototally against their way of dealing with abuse cases.
IHi Andromeda, ( interesting name, considering the ancients, including the Jews, were and still are very obsessed with the movements of the heavenly bodies). I think if you feel that the sabbath should be kept, and it makes you feel better to observe it, do. It is your life and no one has the right to control your beliefs, actions and thoughts. I personally believe Jesus' message around the sabbath, as around everything, is that love comes first. Want to observe the sabbath? Fine... But if your sick friend requires you to help her with chores.., go ahead, love is the priority.
I believe you would benefit from a book by an author called Steve Hassan called Combatting Cult Mind Control. You've nothing to loose by reading it and everything to gain. It is not against religion by the way.
please take care, there are many splinter groups that left the WT despite what they say, they themselves being an offshoot of Adventist and Millerism etc. you may find you have more in comman with them. All their predictions have not come true, Jeruselem didn't fall in 607BC therefore the GB do not have the Holy Spirit more or less than anyone else. Do keep researching.
i grew up in a very zealous congregation.
we had almost 40 pioneers with only 100 publishers.
the congregation was 100% black americans (i don't say african-american).
Grew up in the UK, quite a mixed cong. Gotta say, tho I'm white, the witnesses were a shining example of brotherly love and non racism compared to the rest of society. Many happy mixed marriages, tho very, very comman now where I live in Brixton (😍coolest place ever) wasn't so common in the 70s and 80s when there was more racism. Have to say racism amoung the people is not tolerated now, tho it exists in institutions in particular and out in the country or among the poor and ignorant.
good afternoon,.
i am writing to give you a quick update about our ongoing statutory inquiries into safeguarding and charities linked to jehovah’s witnesses.. as you may know, one of our inquiries is into watch tower bible and tract society of britain.
we opened this inquiry in 2014. watch tower then initiated what turned out to be protracted litigation against us.
Fist pump to the Charity commission, excellent. Glad the Supreme court has told them nooooooooo, kinda new they would as I doubted they could come up with a legitimate argument as to why the previous courts had mis- applied the legislation.
Wonder if they will attempt the ECHR?
Edit: we are still members and will be until the pm hits article 50 which they won't do for a couple more years.

"i just don't see it," christie told cnn's jamie gangel in an interview tuesday, adding later, .
here's the key moment in trump’s speech:.
God she's half his age....so he jettisoned a highly made up, eastern European gold digga for one exactly the same but half her age. Clearly a man of imagination and principal.
Edit: shouldn't it be my parents taught me to get a boob job, look for the richest man I can find and give him lots of b*** jobs and laugh at all his crappy jokes.
