we all know that they say a lot of stupid things, but what really topped the cake?.
for me, it was an elder telling me i was progressing really well when my meeting attendance was down and my field service hours were slipping.

by The Quiet One init seems as though so many of the stories of people who are now mentally free that i read on here involved reading jwfacts.com at some point along the way.. he basically saved my sanity (questionable, i know!
), and was never as sensational and garish as other sites which immediately scared me away.

I have relatives still in and my son wanted some info on the wittnesses and I sent him to JWfacts. Good information and presented so well. He hasn't said anything more about having a study.

Getting Your Money Back From The Governing Body For Selling You A Worthless Bunch Goods
by frankiespeakin inwell think about this for a minute what happens when one wills his property or something valueable to the watch tower money grabbing corporation and then finds out the corporation is all based on a crack pot delusion, how can you get your money back if you signed over a deed to them signed a will granting them that.. and what about all our volunteer service to sell books and magazine for them free of charge without any reembersments?.
i mean could this open some interesting lawsuits against them?
and what about all their outrageous lies and horrible treatment they inflict upon the leaveing disbeleiver there might be an angle of some sort of legal action but i'm not a lawyer but i see some legal recousre for money spent while serving the nonprofit corporation because of false advertisements in thier literature..

My memory is not so great, but about 40 odd years ago there were 2 special campaigns a year... I was a teenager and remember the magazines were "special". NOT!

Am I now an apostate ?
by smiddy inmy wife and i never received an invitation to the memorial ,last year we did ,but not this year.i am the only one where we live in this small town who has challenged the witnesses on the couple of times they have called on our home these past 5 years .
my wife has never been confronted with them.my son and his wife both ex jw`s have not had what used to be called shepherding calls in the 5 years they have been here.none of them have ever been disfellowshipped or disassociated themselves from the organization ,whereas i did a couple of years ago.da`d that is.a couple of months ago they by-passed our house in the d2d ministry that i witnessed.so my wife is not worthy of a call?
she has never said a bad word about them .and they have never spoken to her in the 5 years we have been here .

Sometimes one day at a time is what you have to do. A slow fade is fine, even prefered (if you can stand it). If you can bring a few others out at the same time all the better.

There was a knock at the door....
by exwhyzee inor more like a thunking sound really, which set our little dog into a fit of barking.
i crawled out from behind the fridge where i was doing a repair on the waterline for the icemaker, so i could go see what all the commotion was about.
i fugured it was going to be my neighbor returning my ladder but instead it was jw's handing out memorial invites.. the woman and the young man (her 20 something son) were people i had known but hadn't seen since we faded 4+ years ago.
