being "black balled" by any fraternity group is still a stigma.

Only to members of the fraternity.

Nobody else gives a $***, especially when the fraternity as viewed as lunatics or worse by the rest of the world. I spend a lot of time on a discussion board devoted to politics and military history. The guys there (for whom I have a tremendous amount of respect) all know I'm an XJW and all of them regard my exit as a a badge of honor and courage (they've used those words), which strikes me as over the top, but I'll take it.

Jim Penton's beloved wife Marilyn died today.

her suffering is finally over.

marilyn has been battling cancer for about three years and at times it looked like she would win.

but in the last few months the cancer spread.

Malaysian flight crash in Ukraine VS Flight 93 in Pennsylvania

i wonder if anybody else has wondered about the differences between those 2 flights?

in the malaysian flight that crashed from 30,000 feet high, tons of wreckage, body parts, bodies, documents, etc, all over the place.

yet in the pa flight 93, just a crater in the ground, no bodies, everything supposedly vaporized.

I'm a retired accountant. You have not yet blown your chance to move toward resolution, but you need to act. Call the IRS IMMEDIATELY and tell them you want to get on an installment plan. You may have to fill out some forms documenting your income. If you tell them you can pay enough each month (no I'm not sure how they calculate this) they will just accept the plan, there is another form you have to fill out.

Jumping cursor: what to do?

on my imac laptop i am typing away and suddenly my words appear on a different line, often within the text of an earlier sentence.

it is nonstop and the tech advice online is difficult for me to understand/apply.

never has occurred on my dell pc.. has this happened to you?.

I had this problem on my Dell laptop, it was driving me crazy. One of the suggestions was to download a free program called touchfreeze. Fixed the problem.

we may believe that the wt is having financial problems because of the sell-off that has been happening lately.

however, i think the opposite.

i believe the gb has realized that in today's world the money is in the properties that the sheepies have already paid or are paying for.

I've been thinking along these lines. My last KH is on the county records at $400,000. Admittedly its in a spendy suburb of Seattle. But even half that times the number of halls in the country yields a big number. Also, that value would be carried on the Watchtowers books as a fixed asset, which is a number bankers love. The loans, which are some amount less than that are subject to a deduction for possible bad debt, making them less desirable to bankers. This could all be very important if they are obtaining bank loans to finance other projects.

The Watchtower's finances are some of the least transparent of any so-called charity.

I've made about $1000 from various articles on business subjects published on line. I picked up some more money from other work on the internet. I've got a small publisher looking at a novel right now. I don't expect my writing to do more than supllement my social security.
