Patience grasshopper.
I will confess to using Rutherford's "advertise, advertise" speech as template.

I need feedback, so let me know what you think. I invented a religion, because I wanted it to be about more than just JW's. I hope to provide a peek inside the world of high control religions. Let me know what you think.

If they don't get sued in the near future for copyright infringement we'll know its officially licensed. Maybe this is what the WTBS is going to do instead of selling magazines door to door.

An exJW for Prez?!! Peace, for Prince!
by Spartacus II - The Equalizer init appears there is about a million voting age jws in the us right now.
it appears there is 8 million ex jws or in the shadows.. if those 8 million would have the guts to come out for a presidential candidate to come out, we can finally end the slavery, tyranny and corruption in this and many other circles.. cowards die many times but a hero only dies once.
and cowards die in revelation.. so, to you reading this, are you a coward or a true steward of the earth and creation?.

IKE, never voted, until he ran for President, and WON the primary BY WRITE IN votes!!!!
We don't know if Ike voted or not. The Military forbids political activity by serving members. Only eleven states had primaries or in 1952, and Eisenhower was running because he opposed Taft's isolation is.
122,000,000 people voted in the last election. 8 million could make a difference, but they're not going to swamp the system.
The only parts of all that gibberish I can decipher is factually wrong.

Interesting times-does anyone speak for rational debate anymore?
by fulltimestudent inaustralia's coming to the end of a long election campaign, marked as usual by mistruths and half-truths by both of the main contenders for government.
i read today of d. trump's promises to bring back us industry and then saw this clinton tweet:.
trump has some interesting things to say, but why does he try to con some of the poorer people in the usa, in this way?

The Watchtower leaders are afraid of our elephants
by TerryWalstrom inin the 1960's, when i was most active as a jehovah's witness, it was a different, more relaxed religion.
we were filled with confidence about our "truth" because we were skilled in rebuttal, overcoming objections, and we encouraged tough questions to test our mettle in the door to door work.. when an anti-dub book like "30 years a watchtower slave" was released, we all couldn't wait to read it and comment about it.it was seen as a pathetic effort at spite--never as a serious threat to our confidence in what we had.. so--what was different about the jw religion and our skillset back then from the watchtower world of paranoia and enforced loyalty today?i think i know.. we were like boxer george foreman before ali knocked him out.
we were mike tyson before buster douglas introduced his face to the canvas in that ring in japan.we were bullet proof.. not until you have a bone-shaking reckoning do you lose confidence and wonder, "wtf just happened?

Don't get cocky, kid.
Keep in mind, Hannibal's Italian campaign eventually failed because he couldn't get food or reinforcements. Rome wore him down and forced him to withdraw. Carthage eventually lost the wars and ceased to exist as a civilization.
In general I agree with your conclusions and the internet is certainly a powerful tool. However, I've reached the point where I'm no longer surprised by the Watchtower's ability to shrug off adverse information. I expected people to leave in droves when they changed the generation teaching in the mid-nineties. Didn't happen. They've now changed that again to an even dumber teaching that no one understands or can explain. Yet there are still millions of Witnesses in the world.
I think they are in the process of reinventing themselves. Preaching is clearly not intended to produce actual converts, the conventions are no longer designed to even remotely appeal to the public, and they are totally changing their business model. The Watchtower is trying to morph into something new, that we won't even recognize as our old religion. But the new version, I suspect, will live on.

Do you still believe in the concept of absolute truth?
by JW_Rogue injws very much believe that there is an absolute truth and of course, they are the only ones who have it lol.
how about now though do you still believe that absolute truths exist?
or is everything subjective?

To echo my comment in Believer's thread, Absolute Truth about what?
It is an absolute truth that the Earth is not flat. It's an absolute truth that humans need food, water and oxygen to live. Is there an absolute truth about God? Maybe, but we sure don't know it just now. So it all depends on the subject.

Why Are You Here?
by Believer ini'm wondering why believers remain members of this forum which is clearly hostile to believers.
as one member said, nonbelievers pounce on any semblance of belief like piranhas on prey.
as former jws we should have had our fill of judgmental know-it-alls, but here we are.

When you ask if some one is a believer, I have to ask: Believer in what?
Belief is a very big subject. Do I believe in a God? Yes, although I prefer to keep my opinions to myself these days. Do I believe the Earth is flat? No. Do I believe the Watchtower? No. Do I believe in the scientific method? Yes.
So what are we talking about?
I think you need to define your question before we can talk about it. I've been out of the Watchtower since 1988, the one thing I've learned is that the world is rarely black and white, a good part of the time it isn't gray either, there's a whole rainbow out there.
