I don't think anything is going to "take down the Watchtower." Most of it's adherents are ruled by cognitive dissonance. This quote has no effect on them, but it may be useful in making a few think, and it certainly shows those with no JW background what is wrong with the cult.

Actual good news from fifty years ago today
by JeffT inthe who released "tommy" may 23, 1969. i still think it was one of the best albums ever.
since i left the borg i've also though that the salvation through pinball meme was a good analogy for trying to sell enough watchtowers to win god's favor.

As pointed out above, speculation about the future wouldn't be so terrible if they kept it to speculation. But people read this (and with the encouragement of the WTBS) make life altering decisions based on it.
Smiddy, I don't expect to see the Watchtower go away anytime soon. They some how manage to pull a new rabbit out of their hat everytime the old one dies.

*** Awake! 1969 May 22 p.15 ***
If you are a young person, you also need to face the fact that you will never grow old in this
present system of things. Why not? Because all the evidence in fulfillment of Bible prophecy
indicates that this corrupt system is due to end in a few years. Of the generation that
observed the beginning of the 'last days' in 1914, Jesus foretold: 'This generation will by no
means pass away until all these things occur.' Therefore, as a young person, you will never
fulfill any career that this system offers. If you are in high school and thinking about a college
education, it means at least four, perhaps even six or eight more years to graduate into a
specialized career. But where will this system of things be by that time? It will be well on the
way towards its finish, if not actually gone! This is why parents who base their lives on God's
prophetic Word find it much more practical to direct their young ones into trades that do not
require such long periods of additional schooling… True, those who do not understand where
we are in the stream of time from God's viewpoint will call this impractical. But which is really
practical: preparing yourself for a position in this world that soon will pass away? or working
toward surviving this system's end and enjoying eternal life in God's righteous new order? -

It seems to me it would be difficult to enforce an NDA when you're largest activity is spreading "the message."

Jehovah’s Witness who posted criticisms on Reddit can remain anonymous, judge rules
by Tameria2001 inhttps://www.sfchronicle.com/bayarea/article/jehovah-s-witness-who-posted-criticisms-on-13855357.php.
i had this article pop up about the darksilver case.
it says a federal magistrate in san francisco has now ruled that darksilver can remain anonymous but then it says except for identification to lawyers for the religion’s watchtower publication.

The issue is not whether or not DS has a right to speak anonymously. The question before the court is about limits on their ability to use some one else's words. I'm all in favor of fair use, as a writer I support copyright law. This will need to go to court for a decision.

Contrary to popular opinion the courts (both attorney's and judges) have to work within the framework of the law. Attorney must stick to the facts of the case (in this instance copyright law). Judges have to stick to deciding the issue in front of them. For example if I get rear ended by a JW and sue him because he dosen't have any insurance, I can't attack him in court over his religion. Also keep in mind before the actual trial, attorney's do a lot of jockeying for position. That's what is going on here, nothing has been decided yet in relation to the actual case.
Incidently, I'm pretty sure you don't have any legal right to hide your identity if you choose to go public with information. People fighting the WTBS should keep that in mind, and remember that the WTBS sees all of us as an existential threat. They might be right about that.

Does anybody know if the WTBS' lawyers are JW's themselves or some outside firm? They are running the risk of loosing their licenses to practice law if Darkspliver's identity becomes known. They (or the WTBS) could be found in contempt as well. Judges expect their rulings to be followed to the letter, if I was one of the WTBS' lawyers, I would not be a happy camper right now. There is a very real risk that Darkspliver's identity will become known through some other means, and the judge will assume the lawyers did it.

No More After 34 (2034)
by blondie inmy husband and i were discussing the rally cry shortly before 1975, stay alive in 75 (1975), some here believe that the end might come in 2034 (some tongue in cheek) counting 120 years from 1914 the same internal between when god supposedly pronounced judgment on the people on the earth before the flood would come.. so it could be, no more after 34. i thought it was good and funny at the same time..

Funny saying, however I think the 120 years business is already dead. The Watchtower began publication in 1879. One hundred and twenty years of preaching would have ended in 1999. This prophecy is already past its pull date.
