by NoRegrets inso i'm young enough to not remember having hot prepared meals at assemblies, but heard all about it from my parents and the like.
but what i do remember were all of the cold sandwiches and institutional snacks and soda.

Daily Text for February 28, 2013 !!! ENJOY !!!!!!!!
by DATA-DOG inthursday, february 28. jehovah will make known who belongs to him.-num.
16:5. korah lost sight of the fact that jehovah was directing the nation of israel and consequently failed to show loyalty to those whom god was using.
how much wiser it would have been for korah to wait on jehovah for a clearer understanding or for adjustments if those were really needed.

Be careful what you wish for, it can be a two edged sword. Could the WTBS sue us for inciting hate against JW's?
Freedom of speech needs to mean just that, you should be allowed to say what you think. If people don't like it, they get to say what they think.

Forum Owner and Member Integrity
by Simon insome people recently raised concerns about security of the site relating to whether forum members could be watchtower plants trying to obtain information about people.
apparently, this was because a previous forum that was setup was either owned by or later handed over to someone who used it to collect personal information about people which was then used to harrass them.
i don't know all the details, i'm just paraphrasing what i've heard and recognize that it's a concern to some people.. i want to first of all put people's minds at rest: i've been running this site for what will be 13 years next month.

Dear Watchtower agents: any time you want to talk come on over. It shouldn't take long to find me.
PS, I think your magazines suck.
(If you guys haven't seen "The Four Seasons" you need to.)

Anyone here been Dfd for 'apostacy'?
by Julia Orwell injust wanna know.
i'm doing the fade but i reckon my big mouth could get me dfd.
i know plenty who've been dfd for fornication/adultery, but never met one dfd for speaking the truth.

Of course fading means not hanging up the Xmas lights too soon...
Yeah, that was one of the issues that brought our status to their attention. Oh well, we enjoyed the lights and the tree.

I'm going to have to explore this one in detail. Even in a free society you don't have a right to take someone else's property, which is what copyright violation is. You have no more right to take my writing without my permission than I do to take your car without your permission.
That said, I am worried about fair use rights.

We got our DA letter in the mail before they could kick us out. I am 100% positive they would have charged us with apostacy. We probably would have told them that we didn't consider leaving the WTBS apostacy, since they were the ones teaching something other than the truth. And we had a reams of notes about where they had it wrong -- the Malawai/Mexico hypocracy, 1914/1919/1925/1940's/1975, flip-flops on Sodom and Gomorah, the pyramid; it would have been endless.
They would have called it apostacy, we would (and still do) call it leaving false religion.

I am totally confoused who is the Faithful and Discreet Slave Class?
by booker-t ini have been hearing and reading on websites about some "new light" jws are saying concerning the faithful and discreet slave class.
it sounds like the same information they have been saying for years.
i was always taught the faithful and discreet slave class is the annoited governing body members dispensing food at the proper time for the non annoited jws.

Yes, the GB are the ones dispensing food at the proper time, althought that food includes misidentifying themselves almost a hundred years.

GL, I was going to say the whole album.
I went through a stage where I thought the pinball thing was silly, now I think it was silly -- and the perfect analogy for going out in field service.

Should Employers be WARNED about Jehovahs Witnesses
by BlindersOff1 inany gov agency or private company that has private personal info of customers/clients should be aware.
its common knowledge to long time witnesses that jws will violate customer privacy laws and rules when they see something a customer does or buys that they think jw congregation elders should know about .
thats right they will spy for the elders.. .

Eustace, I'm glad I don't work for you. Who else don't you like?
I don't know where you live, but what you're talking about is against the law in the US plain and simple. Yes, it also works the other way. If I apply for a job and get told they won't hire me because I'm not a JW I'm calling the local human rights commission. A business that practices discrimination in the US isn't going to be a business for long.
Asking prospective employees if they can respect privacy and confidentiality laws, and basing a hiring decision on the answer; is perfectly legal. I've done it all the time as an accounting supervisor.
