i talked to zachary (my 7-year-old) about shunning.
i brought it up out of the blue, in the hopes of getting his real thoughts and not leading him into anything.. me: "hey zach.
if god told you to never talk to me again, what would you do?".
My two children's response regarding whether they'd join any religious group that would order them to not speak to me:
Older teen: "I wouldn't join. If they tell me not to talk to you, I'd say they are full of Sh*t."
Elementary school child: (Regarding the same thing) "That's a weird religion."

i think it is an important question because from recent observation on another jw website, it has come up that some jw bethelites are suing the wts in workers comp cases after getting injured while at bethel.
this is big news to me since i have a similar case outstanding right now.

hello all, the last 24+ hours, i've been at the hospital.
i took my husband in because he was having chest pains.
come to find out his cardiac enzymes were elevated and his ekg was abnormal.

i thought i would let you know that my dad, passed away a little while ago, tonight, january 23. they called me at 6pm to tell me.
he had been failing rapidly for the past month, and had completely lost his hearing and was totally blind.
the dementia was extreme too, and he still knew me on thursday, but didn't wake up to know me in the following days.

for those of you not "keeping up with the organization"botchtower deals soley with all the bullshit instances of "increased light" on this joke of a religion god's organization.
it asks many drone-like thought-provoking questions as i've listed below.
incredible that these guys claim to be the sole ownership of what is absolute "truth", yet change doctrines like i change lipsticks.

I'm not sure if you have children. If you do, it is even better that you make a resolve not to return to the cult. The mind control, the threats of the Big A, them telling you what you can and can't read ---even their old literature! It's just not healthy for children. Keep informing your husband with bits and pieces of information and hopefully he will come realize that it's not something he should return to or get involved with again.
