my oldest son informed me tonight that he will not have a relationship until/ unless i do two things: 1) start going back to meetings (of course), and 2) show, seem, or whatever, that i'm sorry for all the pain that i caused him/ the family by divorcing their dad.

[i told him there are a lot of decisions i made that caused them pain which i do regret, but that i cannot regret leaving their dad.

this for him, is evidence of my wrongness in his and in wt eyes.. he said outright that "there can be no reason, short of dad being a serial killer" that could justify my divorcing him, and that the "only thing [that i] could tell him that would seem to justify it could only be a pack of lies.

Your two older ones are behaving like "little elders" in expecting you to be remorseful when you have done nothing wrong. It is NOT their place to put conditions on you.

Your husband's bitterness toward you is projected to your sons and if he's still in the Borg, his resentment is intesified because the Watchtower already fosters a disdain for women. "Men are the head" and all that BS. You were right in leaving a bad relationship and your sons can't believe you had the determination and strength to not be doormat.

What your sons are doing is emotional blackmail. They owe you respect and you can show them that scripture.

If they won't have a realtionship with you, it's their loss.

If your younger son has legal visitations with you keep showing him your love and support. The two older ones will have to find out for themselves the truth about the "truth."

I wish that every single religious and non- profit organization in the US with annual revenue exceeding $250,000.00 would be taxed just like a regular business. Yes, that means sales tax, property tax and any other tax there is. Also if they have an excess of 50 full- time "volunteers" they should be required to pay them at least minimum wage and workers comp. insurance as well as time off under the FMLA.

Only those religous and non-profit groups caught up with paying Uncle Sam would be able to have their financial donors deduct 50% of any monetary donations from their individual income tax debt.

Are any of the Florida Watchtower ~~business sales meetings~~ conventinons held in air conditioned facilities now?

Or do they still make it dangerously hot for those who attend by having them sit outdoors? That's very irresponsible, but predictable on the part of WBT$.

Patient Unexpectedly Blows Off Steam!

i volunteered today to work with an agency that cares for people with psychiatric and intellectual problems, a kind of place that helps former patients learn coping and practical skills.

i was being introduced to some of the patients and for a brief moment got to talk with a young man who told me about some serious problems along with his separation from his wife.

suddenly, it all came out how jehovahs witnesses f..... up his life and interfered in his marriage!

Today is final court date.

i wasn't sure if i wanted to post something about this on here or not but most of you already know about the problems from beginning and now to the final end of our ending marriage.

today in less than 4 hours it will be final.

on a positive note, dave and i seem to be better friends in the last few months (go figure that one out).
