recently i've had a few people tell me that my iced tea that i serve at home is exceptionally good so i thought i'd share the secret:.
first i'll review the mistakes most people make:.
burn the tea by steeping it in water that is too hot.steep the tea for too long.
And when it's made the right way, by a sweet guy, you don't even need sugar.

Hi Fatfreek
I always thought the "anointed" should decrease in number. If I recall, they used to point to the declining number of the "anointed" to show how close to the END they were.
JW lurkers, can you see the Borg doesn't make any sense?

i think i was 22 when that book came out.. and i remember the being at the convention remembering how much i appreciated it.. and even at that age - feeling like that book was for me.. but how do you feel about it today?.
i don't have a copy of it anymore, but i do remember it being one of the better books.. thoughts?.
I would say the Watchtower book Young People Ask is dull to read and overall not practical for today's young people.
Just as one example, in their propaganda they stifle young people who would make great doctors, teachers and lawyers.
The agenda throughout is that youth should be wasted used to further their proselytizing efforts.
I would prefer to read this with my kids as they get older and material becomes more relevant.

are you hanging in there with life and moving on- post witness ?
i'm sure most are staying busy with work- or staying busy looking for work with this economy.
are you moving on and enjoying life in your leisure time ?
Hi Mr. Flipper. thanks for asking!
How has Life Been Going:
Well, I have been living here in the DFW area since 2007.
Hopefully there will be a small gathering or Apostafest later this month..... Hope to see you there Quandry.
But I digress... back to Mr. Flipper's topic:
Let's see, between taking care of my school-age kids and working, and taking college classes, it's been a challenge being a single mom. But life goes on after a divorce and you just keep going. I get off work and find that I rush--no RUN home because at the end of the day I just want to be with them.

feeling guilty already about being on here, the familiar words are recalled in my mind "don't go on any jehovah's witness websites except 'watchtower.org'!
so here i am, desperate for some help.
i'm 21 and have been studying for 2 years, i was made an unbaptised publisher in february and it was all going great until i had a problem with getting a little tipsy, the elders had to come scrape me off the floor of my witness friends house and take me home.

i am new to the site so forgive me if i'm doing this wrong but somebody posted an article by the society recently on the christian view of brice price or something like that (sorry don't know how to find it) and it really sickened me.
something that i have been dying to say and registered just to do so is that they are so full of it!!!
does anyone remember the article back in the 40's about how it was not right to tip your hat at a women because that would be elevating her above the man and that the woman was never to be elevated above the man......yet during our modern times they write an article saying that this custom is not wrong or demeaning but rather how to do it in a "christian" way.......so tipping your hat to a woman is wrong but apparantly selling your daughter is aokay?????
Hi and welcome to this site!
Is this the article to which you're referring?
