Sic 'em Rex..
over the last 3 years i've gotten much faster at making a wt article look "studied".. .
how fast can you get one ready for inspection by snoopy elders and microphone handlers?.
.
Holy shit! haven't even thought of this for years since the day I left... there were quite a few times i did the random underlining bit and had it all marked up in about 3 mins flat.. I'd actually do a few paragraphs "correctly" (subtly marked so I'd know remember which ones were genuine) so that I'd have some opportunities to parrot the party line to the audience.. (gotta be seen to be participating)
Highlighters? Hah! damn, you late leavers had it easy, what with all that high-tech gadgetry.. rulers and 2 or even 3 colours of pen were the order of the day in the '70s and '80s when I was "in"..
kids these days have it too easy.. grumble.. mutter..
@ gary.. hell yeah! not just from the appointed congregational busybodies either.. in my family we used to catch hell from our mother and step-father if we weren't properly "prepared" for the study.. that's where I first developed my "quick-study" technique..
so my husband rarely talks to his sister and never talks to his mom.
his sister, brother in law and mom will have nothing to do with me because 10 years ago when i left the jws they heard rummors (gossip) that i was apostate.. husband is totally apostate too by their standards but they ignore what they don't want to see.
he celebrates all the holidays, goes to church, celebrates birthdays and bad mouths the wts all the time.. well sister in law calls this morning and he is on the phone with her for one hour.
Yeah, that's exactly what he said. He didn't want to risk having to defend me. BUT!!! When has ne EVER defended me to them????
??? He's your husband.. it's his job to defend you..
i was going through some old photos today, i found one of myself when i was a devout jw.
it was really shocking!
i'm so thin, my cheeks are hollow, i'm as white as the wall behind me, i'm standing hunched over, and in my eyes you can see real misery.
Did anyone go out and get tattoos and piercings, radical hairstyles?
I am about the same, but older, bald and greyish white.............. very sad
geevee... ask Aussie Oz to send you some pics! Mohawk and tats.. very cool.. I think he wouldn't mind if I posted a pic of him here, but I'd like to ask first..
This is me a few years back... imagine a little more grey at the temples and a couple of small grey patches in the beard and you'd have a good idea of how I look now.
alot of members don't have a flag or country name beside their user name, and well frequently one doesn't know where that particular person is from, tell us your country, state, county or what ever you feel like giving out.
if you are going to post please at least devulge your country.. me, i'm originally from taranaki, new zealand via auckland.
for the most of this decade i have been living & working in brisbane, queensland, australia.. .
Hi there, finallysomepride... Born in England, came to Aust. when I was 5, been here ever since.. also living in Brisbane now.. southside..
bottom line: if you are inclined toward conspiracy theories, it's because you are easily influenced.. .

one man's rumor is another man's realitydispelling conspiracy theories and untruths can be difficult when people only hear what they already believe.september 28, 2009|gregory rodriguezjust because you're paranoid doesn't mean that someone's not after you.
Bottom Line: If you are inclined toward conspiracy theories, it's because you are easily influenced.
I don't agree.
Conspiracy: noun
Careful study of history shows that many key events were manipulated behind the scenes by small groups of individuals pushing their own agenda.. (as Judge Dread's post shows) which is conspiracy by definition. Regular history books by and large act as if such things didn't happen, or were the exception rather than the rule. The reality is that it's the reverse.. Conspiracy to manipulate events is the norm. There are always conspiracies taking place.. the most successful ones are never noticed, or not discovered until many years later, as evidence comes to light.
I could add quite a few more events to that list JD linked to.. but frankly, I have other things to do right now..
luke 22:2. and the chief high priests and scribes were seeking a way to kill him, for they feared the people.. .
if jesus was a purveyor of miracles and could call down troops of angels...why did they not fear jesus himself?.
if they believed jesus had the power to judge and determine eternal life or destruction, why did the priests not fear him?.
If not, they should be... I'm dangerous.
1. bright is the light.
that shines in kingdom hallways.
just like that bro that always.

P.S. love this line..
"Bright is the light
That shines in Kingdom Hallways
Just like that bro that always
Wears the orange suits"
been snooping around facebook and am amazed!
(although i guess i shouldn't be) that the ordinary jw has no concept of the 'organization' in control.. every thing is 'jeh' 'jah' that, every teaching they support is attributed to jah.
every action.
I often think that JWs are a bit like the victorians respectable surface but a lot of sexual tension not very well handled underneath.
Very true.. that's why they think everyone in the 'world' are screwing like rabbits.. they wish they were, and so they project it onto their 'enemy'
i suffered through 3 hours of jw-dom by going to the meeting with my wife because my daughter wanted to go and my niece was being carried too.
a part of me feels a bit obligated to go when my daughter goes out of protection for her and a part of me feels like i should go since my wife had two small girls going with her and my daughter alone is a handful.. a visiting brother in the neighboring city of suffolk, va gave a talk today and some of the people wanted to take him out to dinner.
my wife was invited to go along and she was real excited about that.
Judge rutherFRAUD..
